THE CLASSIFIEDS / CLASSIFIED ADS / Westin Bull Bar off of Chevy 2500HD Silverado

I got a Ranch Hand bumper put on my truck this weekend and no longer need the Westin Bull bar that I had on it. Thought I would put it on here to see if I could strike up a local sale. Price is $200 or trade for??? And here is a pic of the new front end. Very Heavy. Gonna have to beef up the steering and maybe get a lift. Thanks. James

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: What do Ya'll think( Real or not)

I have had this discussion with several of my friends late at night over a couple of beers. I used to be the one that always said no way in hell. But the more I read about it from you guys and see stuff on TV, I could possibly be convinced. For as many unexplained things there are out there, it's possible. As for having one as a pet, that would be awesome.

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Best night hunting head light you've ever used??

I used a Nite Lite for coon hunting when I first started and it was good for a starter light. I let people that I go hunting with use it now. Convenient back up. Now I use a Bandit Belt Light with a Spotlight and walking light connected as well. Great light. A lot of my hunting buddies back in Indiana use them as well. I have had mine for about 4 or 5 years and still burns just as good as the first day I got it. No complaints. http://www.banditlights.com/belt_light.htm

What kind of snakes do you suspect they are? And another question, any of you guys ever actually been bitten by a snake? Not struck on the boots but literally bit.

THE CLASSIFIEDS / CLASSIFIED ADS / Re: Compound bow needed!

I have a Browning right handed bow with a good sight on it. Needs a new string but you can get those for pretty cheap. I would take $125 bucks for it or make me an offer. I may be looking for a started dog or young dog in about a month as well if you have any. Or something else in trade Thanks.

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Anyone Hunting over the Long weekend around San Antonio
|
on: June 28, 2009, 04:37:01 pm

Hey guys,
I thought I was going home for the weekend back to Indiana, but my plans fell through. I am not doing anything now and if anybody is going out this weekend to set traps, run dogs or whatever and wouldn't mind a tag along, I would definitely like to get out. I will do driving or bring drinks or pay for fuel or whatever you want, I just gotta get out some this weekend. Thanks.

GENERAL CATEGORY / HUNTING AND FISHING / looking for Hunting Lease Around San Antonio
|
on: June 20, 2009, 09:39:49 pm

Where is the best place to look for hunting leases? I honestly am not looking for a place where I am going to shoot a big buck. More interested in hog hunting than anything and having the opportunity to take a deer or two. Also looking for something that would allow me to coon hunt or run hog dogs. If anybody has any leads on something, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: BOW?? What is a good bow to buy under 400.00??

Where you located Smeb? On Edit: I just checked your profile and saw you were from San Antonio. I am moving there this weekend. I am from Indiana. I have an extra Browning bow that you can have to use if you would like. Let me know if you want it. On Second Edit: It does need a new string, but those are relatively inexpensive. You are more than welcome to it. I do not need it or use it. I think the poundage is in the mid 70's not exactly sure. It could be backed down if you want.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Anybody Alligator Hunt?
|
on: June 12, 2009, 12:25:11 pm
|
I am moving to San Antonio this weekend. I am hoping within the next two years to do an alligator hunt. Does anybody on here do it? Or do you know of any guides around San Antonio that do it. I wouldn't mind driving somewhere to do it either. I have grown up vacationing in Florida and bass fishing on the lakes there and have always wanted to do a gator hunt but never have. I figured while I am living in Texas, I might find some folks that did it here and give it a shot. Let me know if you have any info or advice on it for me. I appreciate it.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Native American artifacts

I will get some pictures of my collection from here in Indiana. I have an axe head and a bead and a couple of other neat things as well as several arrowheads. Does anybody specifically go out to go arrowhead hunting? I would love to go if anyone ever wants to tag along. I have not been in years and absolutely love doing it. Is there good artifact hunting in West Texas? Cool stuff guys.
