There are several things that you have posted that I know are not correct.

Before you state anything else incorrectly. Give Alan a call and get his story straight.

I was part of the 2nd team. I will make a very strong recommendation to everyone wishing to post on this subject.
Be very careful stating what you "hear" versus what you know for a fact. The Pre-circulation of rumors have already engaged lawyers. If you do not wish to get involved in a civil law suit, I recommend you do not state what you do not know for a fact.

I talked to Gary a little while ago and he said there were 20 teams already signed up. Supposedly there were a couple teams in the process of also getting signed up. More teams means higher jack-pot. Here's the only copy of the rules that I understand from Gary to be the latest and greatest. There is a $50 jackpot for Barr hogs. But barrs will not be counted in the stringer. Good luck everyone! ![](http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/2A74F18B-97A7-4613-B79A-7B34800E914B-279-0000002C97DDA75E_zpsc22192f6.jpg)

LINK TO THE CURRENT STANDINGS AFTER TOURNAMENT 3 - http://www.hogdogtournamenttrail.com/hdtt-standings.htmlUPDATES --- HOG DOGGER OF THE YEAR- After tournament 3, we have a new leader in the top position. South bracket hunter Matt Noviskie overtakes Van Dorn and Ward for Hog Dogger Of The Year. With the 2nd of the 2 live weight tournaments this weekend, several hunters stand posed in striking position to narrow the margins. A solid weigh-in by McVaey, Brown, Posas, or Oppermann at Gator Country this weekend can leave the door wide open for a new after the FINALS at the TDHA in Halletsville March 3rd. NORTH BRACKET --- Van Dorn and Ward hae taken over the top 2 spots. McVaey trails by only 561 pounds without a live weight yet to be turned in. A 250 average for 3 live hogs by Brown, Posas, Oppermann, or Breeden could land them in the top spots. SOUTH BRACKET --- Noviskie and Werland maintain the top 2 spots for the South Bracket. It will take 3 live hogs averaging 246 pounds for Darnell and Adams to overtake the lead after Gator Country. Shorting the margin this weekend could position Darnell and Adams a come from behind opportunity during the TDHA Finals March 3. Stay tuned for continue Tournament Trail updates and results.

You can enter for this tournament all the way until Wednesday of next week. I just got off the phone with Gator Country and they are going to let anyone enter this tournament who can get their entry money in on time.
The phone number is 409-794-9453 for any questions!
No Barrs in stringer allowed. But Barrs can compete in a $50 entry side pot.

LINK TO CURRENT STANDINGS - http://www.hogdogtournamenttrail.com/hdtt-standings.htmlStandings have been updated after the conclusion of the 2nd of 5 tournaments. With the "dead hog" tournaments out of the way, HDTT hunters will be competing in "live hog" tournaments the remainder of the season. Competition is strong in the North bracket. North bracket hunter Cole McVeay maintains a strong lead of 66 pounds and is currently seated in the Hog Dogger Of The Year position. South bracket competition is tightly contested with only 26 pounds seperating the top 4 contestants. Werland and Noviski were able to pull ahead of Darnell and Adams for the top 2 spots. Lots will change in the next 2 weeks as hunters participate in the "Live Hog" tournaments. The FINALS, the TDHA tournament March 1-3, will ultimately decide who our 2013 Hog Dogger Of The Year will be. Competition is tough and it's still anybody's Trail to win!

Huge jack pot expected. Probably between $10,000 to $15,000 depending on number of teams entered. 100% of entry money goes to payout 100% of money from selling the live tournament entered stringers of hogs to the on-site buyer goes to payout. This is a winner take all event!!! After a team turns in their 5 biggest hogs for tournament stringer, A buyer will be on-site to purchase any additional hogs. This transaction will be between the hunting team and the buyer. That way, all teams have the opportunity to sell all hogs outside their 5 hog stringer for money. ![](http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/BB011E37-C41B-43AE-BE60-BF3BC4EA8E67-1647-000001598A280F5B.jpg)

On the other hand, when the members voice an opinion, and their opinion seems to be ignored, it's easy to understand the frustration.
That seem to be the case here.
There's a big difference between constructive criticism and DEstructive criticism. I think this entire threads intention is to spread bad will within the hog hunting community. IMO, if Chance truely wanted to find out the details of a TDHA matter, why didn't he start a thread on the TDHA forum? There are much better ways to bring hog hunters together instead of tear us apart. What I'm finding out is that some people love to complain and are much better at griping than they are at finding ways to positively work together.

Here's the link to the current Standings after the first tournament of this year's trail. http://www.hogdogtournamenttrail.com/hdtt-standings.htmlCongratulations to Cole McVaey on his win and his current position leading the Trail. There's still time to enter and compete this year. Entry will close right before the start of the Fat Boy Outfitters tournament Feb 8th. After which time the regions will be leveled for the last time based on the latitude coordinate of their address. After tournament 1, South bracket guys need a better showing!!!

That's a good deal that your father went on a hunt with you. Im sure thats something meaningful to yall both. My Dad has never gone on a hunt with me. The only time my Dad has helped me do anything was a couple months ago. We own a high fence ranch in Zavalla county and he helped me pull some hogs out of a trap. The hog in this pic was barred, ear tagged, and released. Turns out I'm a Barr man too! Maybe one day I can get a pic like yours with my Dad and a big Barr too! This is my dad. ![](http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/7EA4EA97-F8D1-4368-BE41-58FE707B9D7B-7083-0000052880767315.jpg)

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Woop'em Gangnam Style - CAUTION - Bad Sow Story

Heyyyyy....... Sexy lady. ![](http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/1D04E842-918F-4791-BBFB-95535DEAC904-5965-000004472E58CA5D.jpg) We finally got a hold of this fat sow. But not after she put the whooping to my dogs. RIP Bostco. This was one bad Sheera. Made a hunt Sunday morning with Aaron W. Aaron had two dogs on the ground and I had a little yellow gyp of mine with them. Aaron's dogs struck a group inside a yapon and briar thicket. Aaron's dogs are straight run and catch. I've never heard his dogs bark before. When we heard the bay start, we knew it was something real. But just as the hogs in Brazoria County along Halls Bayou are known for, the bay broke and these hogs left the zip code. Caddy and my Falina gyp caught out on a shoat. ![](http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/13456A67-803F-43D4-B303-5E18B6BAF658-5965-0000045387228C69.jpg) While the bay was going, we drove the wheeler to a ROW lateral. Just in time to see Gator hot on the hog's ass. I dropped my Sport, Crow, Bostco, JJ, and Tex dog to help. From where we were at, I lost communication with my dogs after 1,000 yards. We started our way down the bayou and picked the dogs back up, 500 yards on the other side of the bayou. The water crossing was way on down the road so we just held tight. The hog would bay, then break, bay, then break. My JJ and Tex dog were on some other hog so the only dogs on the bay were Gator, Sport, Crow, and Bostco. As we waited, the hog kept breaking and baying again closer to the bayou (back towards us). As soon as they bayed close by, we sent in some catch dogs. I sent Tank (AB), Diva (Dogo), and my Falena gyp. Aaron sent Caddy. Of course right before the catch could get there, it broke. The hog runs 300 yards again further down the bayou, but she had too may curs on her and she went to the bayou. My Tank dog didn't keep up but my Dogo did and her and Caddy were able to help Gator shut this bad girl down. We were all really surprised that it was a sow. She treated them dogs rougher than any BARR I've ever seen in my life!!! (Joke for all my Barr friends). RIP Bostco. We found him laying where the catch dogs must have tried her. He was too rough, young and slow to know better. This Sow may not have weighed 300 but she was one of the fattest I've ever dressed. And she was the meanest sow I've ever caught. She cut the heck out of a couple dogs, killed Bostco and took these dogs over 2 miles over 2 hours. She didn't have the biggest cutters, but they were sharp as hell and she knew how to use them. http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz350/TexasJ/E40FF23B-5C0F-439F-ADDB-C59E1ABF1EF2-5595-0000040517BA15FC.mp4
