Pictures look great but I think if I could ride around with you, I might be able to get some really good action shots. And bring some real trashy dogs lol . Did u compete last weekend?

Nope, maybe one of these years I'll get a team together lol

That is what I love about Florida!! Great pictures and some darn healthy looking stock!! Real wet season this year in Florida. Always treading in the water. How far from Hoppy's ranch is your unit?

I do not cowboy any, but that is a really nice whip! Great presentation!!

Kempfers is only about 10 minutes east of me.

The whip looked even better in person. I bought some tickets, but no luck. Tried to get those UF girls to quit selling tickets, but they just wouldn't go for it lol

I'm at Deseret unit 4 which is right in holopaw. The red gyp is out of some of my buddies dogs in okeechobee, she just got killed the other day. The Black and Tan puppy has is Matt ariettas dogs on the bottom and Gene Linnens on the top which have a lot of kempfer blood in them. And the Black and Tan I think came from Earl Partin

Figure I'd show y'all what I've been up to for the past few months. We shipped about 45,000 head of calves and preg tested all the cows over the past 6 weeks, it's been hot and wet like always in florida. Haven't hog hunted in who knows how long besides occasionally sending my cow dogs to one and roping it. Here's a few pics for ya.

It's probably been 10 years since I've been to one. They used to have them on one of the indian reservations here in Florida. They didn't have to quit doing it and it's still legal there but it was bringing too much negative attention so they stopped it. It was still a dang good time. The best one was you had to catch the hog and put a t shirt on it.

How do y'all think a dog would do on a diet of calf cods? Over the next six weeks I should have a few hundred pounds worth. Just wondering if they would be okay on just that or if I should supplement them with something else?

I like the idea of 20,40008 acres and ol Pitney wood rooters.  With some of the old forgotten true florida woods.  No planted pines and gallberries.   Good ol marsh land, pine and palmetto flats, and oak hammocks...

20,000 ain't big enough!  I think I'd need about 100,000

One of my cow dogs about got caught a few weeks ago. She went down into a ditch next to a big culvert to get a drink and a pretty decent one came out of that culvert going to her. I bailed off in the ditch on my horse and the gator hauled ass back into that culvert. As long as they are afraid of humans then they will get gone quick.

I bet those hard plastic temple tags would work pretty good

Mine has been pretty good to me. Things are gonna go bad being an old truck, steering usually sucks on them. But overall they're good trucks if you can work on your own stuff. Mine is for sale if you wanna drive to Florida!

Yeah, just about everyone here on Deseret has dogs that come from him. I've liked what I've seen out of them so far. I think they have a pretty good bit of kempfer blood in them.

Rooster, do you know Gene Linnen? If so do you know much about his dogs?
