THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / 10 mo old pups ready to start
|
on: February 28, 2013, 01:19:31 pm
|
I got 3 pups ready to start in the woods. Wasn't a planned breed, I don't have the time they need in the woods. 1 male and 2 females. Father is my best strike dog Luke, mother is my Papered leggy American Bulldog. Please text me for more info or to come look at them. Just asking enough to cover their shots. Thanks, Justin 817-692-1307 jdbullock@gmail.com

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Father/son boar

One of my landowner's neighbor has been seeing a big boar on his property. They have tried him a couple of times with dogs with no luck. He wrecked my good friends dogs in a matter of seconds. Me not wanting the same outcome, I decided to take my loose baying flagtails and a pistol:). Ol Luke still gets fired up in the woods, they stuck with him and bayed him till we could get there and finish the deal. I thought this picture was fitting with Luke and his pup Nash, and me and my boy Casen:) ![](http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k612/jdbullock/b93c2b94.jpg)

Thanks fir all the replies, that picture says it all. My son Casen raised from 5wks old, they were close. Not sure what got him Monty, I think it was a green CD a boy brought along. He caught chief instead of the hog. Choked him pretty good before I could get him off. Chief then crawled to Luke bayed and caught. My brother came in and broke him off and he passed while my brother still held him. He gave it all to catch that last boar. I don't think heat had a factor, I've been cutting him loose inside 30 yards everytime in this heat. The boy felt terrible, I tried to let him know it wasn't his fault.

Lost my "gentle giant" of a dog last night. He literally used his last breath to catch a boar for me. He was gone seconds after he was broke off. Always giving his all doing what he loved. Been tough on the Bullock kennels this year:( ![](http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k612/jdbullock/50a88c26.jpg)

Luke is getting pretty laid back in his age Noah. But since I lost my top dog he stepped up and struck this boar. He may have gray on his muzzle, but he is still a pup in the woods:)

Thanks everyone. It is one thing to lose a jam up dog, but when it's your son's own dog it's tough.
