1  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Outlaw Dog Food now in Seguin on: April 14, 2011, 07:48:02 am
I just posted for Cliff because he hadn't quite figured out the posting thing.  I just thought there would be a lot more response for people wanting the food, I know there are tons of hunters in this area.

3  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: craziest place you have ever caught a hog in on: March 11, 2011, 10:15:36 pm
We had a big sow jump into a 20' x 20' x 3' dry, concrete water tank. The funny thing was none of the dogs would go in with her, not even the catch dogs!  We ended up shooting her, but then we couldn't lift her out so we tied a chain on and pulled her over the wall, luckily we didn't pull the wall down!
4  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: amish heaters on: December 04, 2010, 09:20:06 am
I have a little experience, indirectly, with the Amish heaters.  I'm a UPS driver, and when they first came out,we would deliver them, usually two at a time and then turn around and pick them back up in a couple of weeks.  I think they had some guarantee that  you could send them back if not completely satisfied and most sent them back!  This was in the last couple of years so maybe they have improved by now.
5  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: LSWDA announces 2 new Membership Drives! on: November 27, 2010, 11:03:28 am
Can someone fill me in on why there are 2 dog hunting associations in our circle now?  You can pm me to keep from stirring up an uncomfortable debate,  but like to be in the loop, thanks.

7  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Breakfast Taco HELP... on: March 29, 2010, 08:45:53 pm
We have made large batches of tacos several times for 4-H concessions for fundraisers,so maybe I can be of a little help.  A dozen eggs, a pound of sausage, and a couple of medium potatoes, will make about 20 to 24 tacos.  When you get all your tacos cooked and wrapped with foil, lay them all on the oven racks in a 300 degree oven for about 10 minutes, put them directly from the oven into an ice chest,  will stay really hot for a couple of hours.  Don't cook the eggs the night before.  Good Luck!
8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Dogo eyes? on: March 28, 2010, 08:35:08 pm
Thinking of buying an 11 month old Dogo, but concerned about her eyes, the lids are pink and the eyes are a light gold.  She seems to be really sensitive to the sunlight.  I haven't owned a white headed dog before and wasn't sure if this can be a problem?
9  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: cheap frontline flea control on: September 26, 2009, 05:21:17 pm
Have you looked at Bayer 12 Month Tree and Shrub, I've been using it for 6 months and haven't had any fleas on my dogs.  I used Frontline the 2 previous summers,at $90 a month with very little to no results.  I'm still on my first $20 bottle of Bayer.

Luke,  You could pass that last pic off as a hunt down under, the Aussies are always barefoot and shorts, the terrain looks pretty close too.

JB, nice hog, looks like the one we caught tonight in Kyle.  Hope the dog you lost wasn't Roy!
