Tea tree oil, just give it a good soaking.
2  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Sportmix dog food on: February 09, 2018, 02:05:40 pm
The original was a darker oily pellet. Recently its come a lighter color, less oily. On this dog food I'm seeing a looser stool with a very foul smell and a lot more of it. Makes me believe its less digestible plus my dogs aren't doing as well. Hoping they go back to original. Just wondering if others were seeing the same. All this started when I started seeing it sold at local Tractor Supply in 40 pound bag instead of the feed store 50.

Has anyone noticed a change in the black bag of Sportsmix?
4  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Walker/ Catahoula cross female on: April 23, 2017, 11:29:15 am
This female is a nice lady. 5 to 6 years old, she is open mouth and does not fit me pack. That doesn't make her a bad dog. She hasn't been hunted much in several years, so a little work on trash may be needed. She wont bother livestock, but might find a coon. If interested call me @ 254-493-7643 ( you can text or call, but please leave message due to marketers I don't always answer but will call you back. E-mail @ horseshoeb@centex.net. $350
5  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Walker/Catahoula Female on: March 26, 2017, 11:57:40 am
Had lots of interest, but I still have her. This female is nice she just needs to be with someone who will hunt her. If you contact me by phone please leave a message. Due to all the marketers I don't always answer , but I will call you back. Not exactly sure on age 5 maybe 6. She is open on track. She will find her own hog, and will travel out to do so. Right or wrong I do not like hunting an open dog with my curs. Due to this she hasn't been hunted much in a couple of years. The last time I hunted her she found a few varmints, so a little trash breaking will be needed. I have raised a litter of pups from her out of one of my curs which is silent. $350 If you're interested call, text or e-mail me and we can visit about her. I'm located in central Texas so be sure you can pick her up there. 254-493-7643 or horseshoeb@centex.net
6  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Hutning in the daylight vs the dark on: February 01, 2016, 10:05:28 pm
hunt some in day time, but prefer nights in my country. Safer for the dogs, harder for the trigger happy gunslingers to see them if they happen to get off our properties.
7  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Pond grass /moss on: August 14, 2015, 05:03:14 pm
Copper sulfate and karmex in large amounts will kill the moss to the point it will take the oxygen from the water killing the fish. It can be used in small amounts to kill moss in just small areas a little at a time. My suggestion would be to go to Tractor Supply and get the pond dye, Blue Bayou and Aqua Blue are two of them. The dye will gradually kill the moss keeping the fish safe.
8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: old time dog remedies on: August 12, 2015, 10:18:36 pm
Sulfur, lime and water- make into a paste for mange, skin irritations, or hot spots
pine tar, scorch powdered alum( on frying pan till lightly brown), and salty bacon grease- good for cuts     1 pint pine tar, 2 table spoons scrorch alum, 2 table spoons bacon grease
9  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Polaris Ranger Windshield Plexiglass or Lexan on: July 18, 2015, 04:36:01 pm
If at all possible use the Lexan or like product. It will last longer without discoloring, less likely to crack, and will flex more.

15  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Wild rabbits on: March 08, 2015, 04:05:12 am
Looks like baby jackrabbits? If it is they are born with hair and eyes open. As kids we raised lots of them. little encouragement they will drink milk from a bowl.
16  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: RHODESIAN RIDGEBACKS?? on: March 04, 2015, 09:22:48 pm
Had a pit/rhodesian cross catch dog, female. One of the best, lots of sense. Only  catch dog I've ever own that once you killed the pig. pulled her over and told her dead pig, she would sit down beside you till you told her to follow.

Charles, think the dealer thinks the same way I do. Last time we stopped in they only had a few with metal tops no doors. Guess they're too high for them to put on too!
