I know it'll be awhile for you now though between the pickup and learning that you're only a fair weather hunter We're supposed to get snow again next week so we'll try to invite you again around may so it won't be too cold for ya!!! LOL just gotta give you a hard time buddy. Sorry to hear about the truck...that really sucks! How long will it be down?

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: has anyone else noticed this with sportsmix feed?
|
on: January 29, 2011, 12:02:39 am

Ok I just moved in the last month and was feeding the victor for almost a year before i moved...its has gone from 22.00 to 24.00/bag for a 40lb bag and now i can't get it and am feeding the sportmix 24/20 in a 50 lb bag for 23.05 a bag and don't have any problems with the sportmix 24/20. Now i do have an old dog that gets the 26/18 w joint health and will contiue to drive to get that for him. But I have no problems with feeding the sportmix to everything else. Its worth the difference in price/weight per sack to feed the sportmix to everything else though. It cost me 92.20 for 200# of sportmix and 126 for 200# of the victor. So for all but my old dogs I can't hardly argue with the difference in feeds.

I'm on a first name basis with my game warden because of the size of town we both live in. That being said, I let him know the areas we hunt, day hunt and night hunt, and do not have any problems. I don't make a phone call everytime I go hunt but do let him know of new properties we're hunting. Especially hunting at night.

Having a pencil roll over a cheyenne roll cantle you will gain about 3/8" to 1/2" height usually over a cheyenne roll. Not much more, but does add a little height to the cantle.

Ok everyone, I know we all start thinking about it around this time of year but its time to watch out for snakes again. Just killed the first one at my house this year. About a 4 foot rattlesnake. They're leaving their dens and starting to venture out again. Heads up to everyone and happy hunting!!!

I've got 3 right now that range from 10 months to 1 yr 4 months old. They all as of now are straight catch and do require a breakstick. Not sure if they'll grow out of is as they're still puppies but are really hard dogs as of now.

He's drivin a bullwagon and isn't around the phone alot. Best bet would be to try that number in the evenings. If possible leave him a message and he'll get back with you.
