I'm going to sell three of these pups. There sire is a deep hunting cow dog. Work until he dies type. He goes back to the Old Thorton blood, traced back to Thorton's Slim, with Johnson's Ckyde and Moore's Spook and Shive's Slim along in his ancestry. A number one dog that is a proven reproducer. Mom is out of Owen's Bear which goes back to the Ricky Driver dogs. Used on cattle and hogs.
The first cross has pups being used by Doug Shive's on cattle, Some in south east Texas on hogs, some in south east Ok on cows and hogs and the ones I kept on cattle. From all reports these pups are doing a really good job.
I have 3 males to sell the rest as the whole of the last litter are being put in hunters and cowboys hands plus what I keep. They'll be weened this weekend and ready by next. I will be traveling from NE Ok to south central in a couple of weeks and could help get one closer if your coming from that direction.
Pups will have first shots and be wormed. Pups, may be red it fawn.

Made this cross for myself. The dam is Owens Bear daughter, the sire is a cowboy and friend I day work withs Catahoula male. Raised 12, need to let about 4 go to cover costs. They've been wormed regular, had one 5-way and two 7-way vaccinations the last being today. They should be on the rough side. Pups should go both ways but sire and dam have been on cattle and both have been on a few hogs, both have found their own.

At our Cowboy Church we are going to have a fall and spring branding where twice a year we celebrate those who have been saved and baptized by having them brand their initials on the wall of the foyer. we need a set of letters and numbers (mini letters would work). Anyone know where a set can be bought reasonable?

Myles, I lost my best walker this year to high water. Water wasn't a problem, but a big rain had the creeks deep and rolling. He was swept under a log jam and drowned. If water is extra high and rolling I'd be cautious cause a good dog ain't suppose to quit a track.

People that are born with it, whatever it is, can handle all animals, not just dogs, better than most people. It is a God given gift and can only be learned to a certain extent.

My buddy had a litter of pups and going to sell a few. They are out of my male dog that is old east Texas Shives line going back to Thorton line. Female was raised by a guy here in Oklahoma that has been hog hunting 30 years at least.
Stock bred for cattle or hogs. Should be long range. The pups from sire's line that are around (from Missouri down to Texas) are making good dogs, finding their own hogs at 10mths to a year old and proving themselves on cattle.

Corey if you will look under a thread about old eat Texas lines you will find both Shives and Thortons mentioned, which I mentioned in the add for my friend. Did not have the pedigree in front of me nor memorized but could text it to an interested person. It's missing a couple of gyps but can take it back through Shive's Slim, Johnson's Clyde and Thorton's Slim.

Corey, I don't need you smart allic pms....and don't need or want your money...and my buddy who has the pups but don't make a lot of $$$$ and could use some money to help cover the expense of raising two litters of which only part of one is being offered to help cover the expenses.

Should never have received all the media hype especially considering some of the trials that received very little coverage such as the Gosnel trial. Proof that the liberal media is doing its due diligence to keep racism stirred up in our country today.

Actually, it received as much media hype and attention from the entire media spectrum.  From conservative to liberal media.  All any of them care to do is inflame their audience so that they will continue to watch/listen to the pot stirrers.

Don't think the conservative media would have addressed it had the liberal media not been making a stew over it. Problem with what I saw on FOX most, not all, picked a side also based on limited info.

If you didn't sit on on the jury or through the court proceedings in the court room all anyone has is an opinion. No one has all the facts because no media source will report just the facts much less all the facts. The American justice system did its job according to law and that should satisify everyone with the exception of those who sat through every second of the proceedings.
