When I purchased mine one of the collars were bad right out of the box. Luckily I was still at the store having them set up the system so they were able to switch it out. He said it was not to uncommon for that to happen. Just send it back.

I have many types of lights. Streamlite, Sure Fire, and Pelican Lights. I just purchased a 3 cell maglite LED and it is without a doubt the best and brightest bang for the buck. It with also double as a portable q beam.

Had the same thing happen to one of my pits. Put some furazone on it wrap it with vet wrap secure with tape, and it should be good in a few days.
