well a strike dog to me is a dog that works out the truck and stops the hog without running it halfway across texas a real strike dog will put some teeth on a hog to keep it in one place a bay dog will bark at it and let it run off  lol

i use bmc for strike dog most of the time but i have a bulldog gyp that strikes hogs out the truck so its really up to you what kind of dog ya want tyo work with
