1  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Kemmer puppy from Dee Smith baying hog on: August 10, 2011, 02:25:29 pm
This is the Kemmer female I got from Mr. Dee Smith just under 3 months baying a hog. She has been putting her nose to the ground and smelling everything since she was 6 weeks old. We introduced her to a hog and this is what she is doing. She is already hog crazy! Really looking forward to working with her and adding her to my pack in the future.

I was lucky enough to get a Kemmer puppy from Mr. Dee Smith. My wife worked out all the details and suprised me with the puppy. Been looking forward to trying to find another good hog hunting line kemmer bred puppy to hunt behind my Lola gyp. Looking forward to seeing how she works out. Thanks Mr. Dee!

Left at daylight this morning with hopes of catching a big one. We turned out and ran hogs several times. Just like every year this time they ran, broke and did it over again. By 9:45 it was almost too hot to turn out again. We decided to give it one more shot. We headed over to an old rice field and noticed fresh rooting in a drainage ditch. Turned out and he was locked down bayed in less than 5 minutes. We ran in there and sent the catch dogs. Before the bulldogs were caught I noticed big teeth and Eller getting thrown around. I ran in and got caught up in vines and landed on top of the monster. Luckily for me, my catch dogs Jenkins and Kaine were caught at that time. We got him tied up and checked all the dogs, no serious injuries. It sure was nice to catch a good one in this heat.

15  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: New gps tracking/training system? on: April 12, 2011, 11:49:33 am
If they are selling the tracking collars only with the unit I may give it a shot. I don't need the shocking. I love my Garmin but in thick coverage it gives me the blues at times. Im sure in about 3 years, there should be a 100% reliable GPS system. It gets old running dc collars + Wildlife Collars!
16  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: parker dogs on: March 22, 2011, 09:40:33 pm
I have several that came from Larry as well. I have several Parkers.. The litter thats coming up is off my Black Jack dog which is off a dog named Parker & the gyp called Grit. Black Jack goes back to Larrys old line.. Blacky is Black Jacks grandpaw. Which came from Larry orginally. The gyp is Minnie which is off my buddys Parker dog named Ratchet which came from Larry & a gyp named Jeanie which also came from Larry. Jeanie was 100% hog dog & she got killed about 2 years ago. Minnie goes back to Rowdy X Minnie off her dads side & Jeanie goes back to Blaze/Red Gal. Let me know if you need anything else. Feel free to call anytime...(601) 870-0322 Brandon
