2  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / looking on: May 29, 2013, 09:04:49 pm
I'm looking for a well started young dog. Preferably over 10 months. Breed isn't a issue. Needs to be silent on track. Doesn't have to be anything that's found any hogs, just looking for a dog with good potential. I have a good lead dog but want something that will run with him. Don't want anything that sits around. Looking for a dog that will stay busy. Ive had two dogs get killed this year, my old dog and his son that was becoming a really nice dog, I'm needing to some what replace what I lost. I would like to see the dog in the woods. 9032936922 call or text. Woodsnwetlands@yahoo.com Texarkana tx area. I have places to hunt or I can drive to you. Don't mind driving some.
3  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / still have on: May 22, 2013, 11:36:58 am
I have a 2yr old mnt cur/ catahoula cross. She is short/ medium range. Silent on track unless the hog breaks and she will slightly yip. Very quiet yip. More of a whine. Not rough, she will find a hog in good sign. She is trash broke. Reason for getting rid of the dog, I hunt longer ranged dogs and she doesn't fit my pack. 300 obo 9032936922 woodsnwetlands@yahoo.com Vivian la.  Call for more info or text for pics
4  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Garmin DC-50? on: May 21, 2013, 01:50:46 pm
I seen were someone posted something about the du modified dc 40 collars. If anyone is considering sending some dc40s to them I highly reccomend them. I sent them 4 collars that would start out tracking good, then eventually they would drop the collar and sometimes never pick back up on the gps. After getting them back from them they work great know. They do really hood work, very professional job. The collars look great and function awesome. I have two more collars I will be sending to them very soon. For the price you can't beat it.

7  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: dog trader on: March 10, 2013, 06:55:21 pm
Like I said to start it off. This is my fault, but I am in a bind for a good dog after mine was killed. I shouldn't have been so trusting. I am not gonna sit here and bash the guy but I do want to hopefully prevent someone else from loosing there hard earned money on a worthless dog.
8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: dog trader on: March 10, 2013, 06:48:23 pm
Reuben, I do understand what your saying about the dog and possibly that's what it is. But my opinion is a dog that's suppose to be a well started strike dog should take a track when u put them in good sign, and this dog won't even do that. I believe I got screwed.
9  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: dog trader on: March 10, 2013, 06:35:16 pm
Sucks to lose that much on a dog. I only spent 625 but I guess you just can't trust anyone. Not everyone will burn you, I did meet a good guy in Oklahoma before I bought this dog. The dog I was gonna buy from him ended up not being what I wanted but he was true to his word and took her back, even had his ex wife meet me to get the dog back. Unfortunatly not all hog hunters are that way.
10  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / dog trader on: March 10, 2013, 04:33:01 pm
Before I start this off, let me clarify to all that will read this. I take completly believe that what happened to me is my fault and I shouldn't be so trusting about buying a dog. The fact that I got burnt is my fault. I should've hunted the dog before buying it, but with that said if I can prevent someone else from getting burnt I will. I bought a dog last week from a guy in Arkansas. Ends up the dog is 100% worthless. Does nothing that the guy said she will. If anyone is looking for a dog around Arkansas be careful for this guy. If anyone is interested in this individuals name on here or phone number just pm me and ill send it to you. My best dog got killed a few weeks back and I was in a bind to replace him fast, in doing so I deffinetly got screwed. Guess that's how it goes. Pm for more info on this individual.
11  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / male catch dog on: March 06, 2013, 06:08:11 pm
I have a finished male catch dog. He has caught many hogs. Will go to a bay no matter how far, if the hogs breaks he will stick with the dogs until they bay again or he gets exhausted trying. He has one broke tooth, but it hasn't hurt him from catching at all.He minds well, and is a good dog. No people aggression at all but will fight a male dog. He has no problems with females but males he does. I raised this dog and don't want to cull him right know. Would like him to go to someone who runs only females. If nobody wants him ill have to cull him. He is around 45lbs. Small built. Very fast. I will sell him real cheap but would like to trade for a started catch dog. Call or text. 9032936922 Vivian la. Woodsnwetlands@yahoo.com
12  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / still looking on: February 23, 2013, 08:09:38 pm
I am looking for a well started strike dog. Something that will range on its own. Silent on track. Breed doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be trash broke or a near finished dog. Just something that has found a few hogs with good potential to make a nice dog. Vivian la call or text 9032936922 woodsnwetlands@yahoo.com
13  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / half pitt half cur on: February 20, 2013, 08:07:22 am
I have a male half pitt half cur. I posted him on here a while back as a rough dog, know I would consider him straight catch. I have had him on some hogs since then and he hasn't barked any. He will find his own hog in good sign and stays busy hunting. I was running him with my dogs but know I believe he is to rough, Tuesday I used him as a lead in catch dog and he caught and the ear and had to be broke off like a bulldog. He will stick with a runner, built short so he isn't the fastest dog but will stay in the race. Silent on track. Short to medium range. Should make someone a nice running catch dog. I would like to trade  him for a well started strike dog, maybe a younger dog that will range with potential to be a good strike dog. My main dog was killed Tuesday so I'm looking for another strike dog. Call or text with offers. I can send pics over cell. 9032936922 Vivian la. Woodsnwetlands@ yahoo.com will meet for the right dog. Breed is not a issue, must be silent on track.
14  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / half pitt half cur on: February 07, 2013, 06:31:02 am
I have a male, around 2 year old half pitt half cur. Short to medium range dog. Hunts hard and stays busy. Will fly to a bay, has found one hog for me for sure but is always there when they strike. He has potential to be a decent strike dog. Probably more on the hot nosed side. Easy going dog. No aggression. Not a rcd but he is very rough. Reason I am getting rid of him is I got him to help stop some running hogs and he will do that, but the rest of my pack isn't rough and he is getting wooped tryin to catch hogs with no other dogs to help, so for someone who runs a rough pack he will fit in great. Call or text. Call after 4pm. 9032936922 Vivian la. Woodsnwetlands@yahoo.com  $400 or trade for tracking collars or maybe dog box. Open to other trades. No dogs.

My warranty is out on my. Has anybody had any experience with the double u dc40 collar upgrade as halfbreed posted? That seems like the route I am gonna take but would like to hear some input on them first.
19  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / dc40 collar question? on: November 27, 2012, 03:02:13 pm
Before I send all my collars in I am wanting some input on what to do. I have 6 dc40 collars, all of which don't work very well. At times they will completly stop tracking and not pick back up again until I turn the collar off and back on again. I've tried buying new antennas for them all, also tried all updates on them and my handheld. With that being said. I was told I could send them into garmin and for 50 bucks they'll send me a refurbished collar. Could anyone tell me if there is any truth to that. Any input would be appreciated.
