THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / BMC Start Dog *SOLD*/ Pit Catch Dog
on: December 26, 2010, 09:36:28 pm

First a 4 year old male BMC with a touch of Mountain cur. He has started many hogs for us. The only thing we don't like is he opens up on a very hot trail. We haven't hunted him for about 6 months because of this. That is the ONLY reason we are selling him. He was a good start dog before we quit hunting him. Has lots of grit. A nice deep mouth. Easy to handle. $250 Also a 4 1/2 year old female pit. EXCELLENT catch dog! Will catch on the ear. Has caught many hogs. 40-50lbs, but don't let size fool you she is a good one. We keep her loose in the dog crate she doesn't fight other dogs. We hate to sell this one, but we have too many gritty dogs. $200 We will give a one month trial on either dog. If you pick them up and bring them back you will get a full refund, as long as they are not hurt in any way. We will take 400 for both if you come get them. We are in Cameron County, Tx. You can PM me on here. My email address is christicer@gmail.comWebsite won't let me upload Pics right now, but I can send them by email or phone.

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Argument!!!! Catahoula/Leopard Is There A Difference?
on: December 08, 2010, 10:08:34 am
Here's the deal. Three of us Hog hunters (Grandpa, Uncle, and me) are always disagreeing about this. Also, what about the Catahoula Hound and Leopard Hound.
Are Catahoula and Leopard interchangeable? Are they 4 different breeds of Dog? Catahoula Cur, Leopard Cur, Catahoula Hound, and Leopard Hound Are they 2 different breeds? Catahoula/Leopard Hound and Catahoula/Leopard Cur? Are they all the same?
Who can solve our family argument? I have my opinion, but will save it until I hear y'alls.

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Broken Garmin DC-30
on: October 30, 2010, 02:54:10 pm
Well we caught a boar with about 3 inch tusks last night. That crazy hog stuck one of his tusks right through the power button of on of my dc 30 collars. Its broken, and I've only had them about a month. I'm going to see if Garmin will fix it. You guys got any ideas how I could prevent this from happening again? Really sucks.
