Nice job. As soon as I get off babysitting duty, hopefully I'll be able to post some pics for u to look at... Schogwild make sure and just put some of those pics on here. There are a few insect species that can't handle all of them. The shear number would blow their mine.

Those are eleven month old Cane Corsos we raised them from pups. They are doing pretty good. I think they will be alright as long as they don't get to big.

The dane is a joke... he obviously has gotten used to them finding the hogs with the light and him just running em down and catching em, he doesn't use his nose from what i've seen, i most certianly would be feeding him the 50 lbs of dog food he probably eats a week... JMO
The show is a joke, they need to come to east texas and see how some old timers do it
Hold the light on'em. Shake the light right there so he will know where the hog went through the fence at. Holy cow is this crap for real! To start with I'm not going to look for the pigs before I turn loose on them, but if I did and they got behind that hog and stopped when he went through the barbwire he would be eating supper some where else that night. But wait Josh said he didn't go that way because the dog knew they could not hunt over there. 2nd and last show Got my belly full of it.

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Big boar in cutdown

I thought the same thing after the hog went down. How could he do all that damage with them little teeth. But after looking further the cutter on the one side was freshly broke. The cd was ripped from head to toe. His vest looked like it had been through a cuber.I only had one cd with me on this hunt. Thats what I usually carry when I'm by myself. After turning loose cross and cheetah my two strike dogs they split up. Lost communication with cheetah. stayed with cross he was bayed about 650 yds out. Killed a nice 200 + boar. loaded cross and cd up headed towards were I lost comm. with cheetah. About a mile away he was bayed up in a 50 acre cutdown. nothing unusual about what was going on. Sent cd in. waited a minute to hear catch instead I heard my cd BAYING never has happen before. started crawling in got about 75 yds away there were more hogs bayed up in that cutdown than you could shake a stick at. Crawled a little closer the drove broke cd started catching that boar and got his butt cut because it just took so long to get to him. Bad situation.

I forgot to mention that the red hog ran Gumswamp up a tree and tried rip his pants off...maybe he'll chime in and give us details. Not the first time I've had to go up a tree but it was the first time a hog has seemed to have a pick on me. Round and round that thicket the red devil ran me after I shot him. I jumped up a tree he ran by when I dropped back down the darn thing turn right back around and I guess I did not jump as high the second time. He hooked the crease in my jeans at the knee when I folded my legs up. Missed the hide but rip the jeans. Bay dog crabbed him by the nuts he backed off about 10 yards and fell over dead. A bad shot will most likely cost you a good pair of jeans. ;0

It's 50/50 from what i've experienced... some stop, some run harder. The dog didn't shut the hog dog in the blown down, root ball, creek bank, etc... the hog chose where to stop. Whether rough or loose, bottom is the key where the hogs run real bad. X2
