With the dog getting to hot my vet said damp a rag with rubbing alcohol and damp their paws...I've never tried it but this time of yr any things worth a shot.

I'm from Rosenberg but I got places to hunt down in berclair it's 15 miles outside of beeville... I got 4000 acreas down there that I hunt and I have buddies that got bunch of cornfields down there too...real big hogs around there...

I have a good vet in Rosenberg tx... I don't have to take my dogs in for wormer or getting heart guard...they even sale me disposable staple gun...there philosophy is that it pushes dog owners away when they ask to bring the pups for simple wormer and stuff...it's better for them to just let them buy it and get the dogs wormed rather than them not buy no wormer at all..

I have a male blue lacy that's my strike dog, I hunt him off the hood.. My catchdogs will find their own hog.

Got a female pit cross, she seems gamey and extremely fast she about a yr old.. Also got a 6 month pup she has pit/blue lacy/cur...

I'm gonna start going more got sum pups to train. I have 4000 acres with game fence all the way around, got plenty of hogs.

That is a slick vest, now thats what im looking for for my catchdogs. Looks like it doesnt restrict a dog to much.

I don't carry a gun, but sure do need to. Had a hog caught in the corn field the other day and as I was going in sum big boys were coming out  . I can sit here like sum  and say hell I ain't skeered I rasle a big nasty Bo hog with no dogs. Just put it this way if there's a tree a big bad boar I will be in a tree like a raccoon if I ain't got no dogs on him lol .

I have a sure nuff female catchdog that won't touch a little pig if the strike dogs have it caught. But the pig was small lil pig. I say won't but I only seen it happen twice lol. I hope I don't get misunderstood that she won't catch small hogs. I have seen it twice but like I said the strike dogs were already caught.

Good read fellas...If I can catch a hog here and there I'll be alright. Everyone made good points, my strike dog is fat so thats my excuse lol  .

Nice hog Chad, I don't know if u remember me but I think i hunted with u last yr, Darrick from Rosenberg. Ive hunted like 2 times since I last saw you  . Been offshore and Louisiana pretty much since i saw u.

I work as a Subsea Service tech for FMC Technologies, been working in Fourchon LA since April, 22  . T-BOB, wheres Kevin Daniels been hiding at, I'm from Rosenberg and hunted with him a couple of times?
