That hunt was in West Texas and man if you don't have javalinas you all damn sure don't want any. The boar is 140 lbs on the high end, maybe 125 on the low end. Thanks for the comp.

Ya for sure, if we would of met fri instead of sat you could of loaded up. Did you try to catch that boar last night. All we had on him was 1 dog, but man he stinks. I think we could catch him if we had some more dog power on him. Send me some pics when you catch him. Me and my dog Hoss wants to look him in the eye one time and tell him I'm his daddy. Haha call us when you get off next and come down and run some of this big country with us.

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / 8 hog night

Nate and I loaded up dogs fri night and went to Abilene. Caught 5, 30 to 50 lb shoats and 3 nice boars. I would say I really don't like all those vines and thickets there, But we had a good time. It was hard rigging when there was no wind at all. Rigged the first boar, dogs bailed off flatbed and went about 100 yrds and bayed in a thicket, Nate gets to bay and starts yelling to dump catch dogs, it's a good one. Dumped both CDs and they went in and I could hear some squealing so I thought it couldn't be to big. Nate said the boar the CDs caught wasnt the big boar. Tried to get the bay dogs to roll off but it was still hot and the bay dogs was really panting and they didn't care about the big boar. Rigged the the next boar and bds bailed off and went about 150 yrds and bayed up. Bay broke about 30 sec and the race was on for 200 yrds and bayed up again. Didn't dump cd cause chigger had the boar caught. I guess he was tired of chaising him. Loaded dogs and went to a pond with a bunch of sign. Chigger took off and went about a mile and starts coming back so we went and dumped George on it and he took off and went over another mile, lost him on the gps. Went as close as we could get to him around 900 yrds and I took off on foot with no cd, don't know why I didn't take a cd. But went up this hill and finally picked him up at .6 treed. Tried to call Nate but he didn't have any service. So I sent him a text message that George was treed, bring a cd. No response so I took off figuring he was on his way. Finally found george laying in a pond not barking. So walked up and called him and then I heard some water splashing in the middle of pond. Ernie and jose, bds that I brought with me started baying and started they started off into pond. There was a nice boar in the center, didn't have cd or a gun. George ran so far in the heat that his back legs was done. He was just stumbling around. So I needed to do something quick. I started throwing rocks at the boar. Prob around 10 mins of throwing rocks at him I finally hit him on top of his head and the boar went limp. Ernie and jose mounted the pig, I think I just knocked him out and then he drowned. But picked up George and called off dogs and started heading back to truck. I was really worried about George. Stopped at another pond and let George cool off some more in the water, I guess he pulled just enough energy to walk 600 yrds back to the truck. After that all we caught was some small pigs. After hunting all night and driving home I finally crawled into bed at 4 pm. The dogs was wore smooth out after that hunt. Didn't take any pics of the shoates or the boar in the pond cause George was in bad shape.

Loaded dogs up with Jake and Nate and was just going to make a quick hunt, catch a hog and be at home by midnight. Little did we know we would be pulling up to the house at 6:30 am. On top of that Jake had to be at the airport at 4:30 am. Well Jake picked up some new land and we drove around for hours with not a peep until we found a windmill with a nice hog track there and could tell where he rooted around but the dogs was having hell getting him going and just never could get him figured out. The kept pounding it out and looked like my lion dogs pounding a cold lion track. Hoss, Lt and Cutter was moving it but real slow. The wind picked up a started blowing right in the same way the boar was heading, that didn't help it any. Cutter finally quit after awhile and then I saw that Hoss treed at .8 in some rough country, no roads. The wind was blowing So hard that Lt was within a couple of hundred yrds up wind from Hoss and he never heard him and came in. By this time we needed to leave in 10 min to get Jake to the airport on time, and he is really starting to freak out, and we have a dog treed .8.. So Jake said Lets go so we took off and ran far as we could and finally arrived to the bay and dumped cd. Hoss was bayed about 75 yrds from a pond, when I dumped cd all I could hear was brush breaking and a big round paint hog comes busting out of the brush and hits the water like a hippo, 2 dogs Hoss and my 6 month old pup that I walked in to the bay and cd hit the hog and caught right in the middle of this stocktank. So I pulled phone and Garmin and tossed on the bank and went in right behind them. As I stepped off the bank I sank in mudd up to my thighs. So I just fell forward and crawled up to the hog. Then I pulled for my hog stick and it wasn't there, so I reached for my little pocket knife and went to slicing hog, but I just could get his sweet spot. At this point me and this circus has been all around this pond and Jake is screaming on the bank to hurry up and kill him or he is going to get a devorse. He was really flipping out now. I finally got him worked over and Jake grabbs cd and takes off running back to the truck. I crawl out of the muddy slop and start heading to the truck and I look down on my Garmin and Hoss is bayed at 250 yrds, Jake screams something bad and I ran up to him and he dumped cd. cd was almost to the bay when a nice boar comes running by me and dogs run off to .9 when I loose them on Garmin. So now Jake is wanting to leave the dogs and go so I just told Nate to take him ans come back to get me. They take off and I took off in the dogs direction and finally found them with nothing but just some wore out dogs. I found a Hwy and told Nate where I was so when he started to head my way he could find me. I layed there with my muddy axx it seemed like forever. Finally got home and and the boar went 225 lbs. I was sure proud of that pup to hang there on a nice boar all by himself.

Nate and I loaded dogs and went north looking for some land to hunt. Found 1 sections to hunt. Pulled into a wheat field and all dogs bailed off of flatbed and they bayed up about 350. We could hear alot off hogs grunting, dumped cd and caught 100 lb boar. Then went to another place and walked dogs down a dry creek and caught a nice boar.
