only pits i will keep are black. Tom Garner raises pits line bred from GRCH Chinaman most of his pups are black they are pricey but the best catch dogs i have had are from his blood hardmouth fast and they are game as one could ask for.

Noah just something to think about your going to cross mother and son because they hunt the way you want and you want to keep that trait but take into consideration you will also be keeping any undesirable traits going as well i have no problem inbreeding or linebreeding I just wanted to give you a little more to roll around in that bald head. Miss you Brother and i need you to call me when you can

Thanks josh I dont have many pics of him. You my Boy Blue R.I.P Brutus and Blue you are missed. I tried the cut gear for awhile but i didn't like he lost a lot of mobility and got cut less without it. If you have anymore I like to see them on here, and do you still have the video of green swamp you can access with Goofy, Shelby, and Blue i would die to have it. Keep em coming guys thanks

How can your trust something that bleeds for five days and don't die?!!!! J/K the best dog I had was a female started naturally and didn't care what another dogs was doing handle like a dream. I started out coon hunting with a big male treeing walker and from the get go he was trained and hunted by himself 80 percent of the time. He was independent would not honor another dog. They only problem I had with him was at a comp hunt in georgia where somebody hunted a female in heat of the 4 dog cast 3 were gyps mine being the only male he told us she was in heat but covered her area with vicks and said she would be fine she was a jam up dog but that night she didn't leave the road staying right next to flagging her tail. I with drew and made a complaint. other than that i do think females handle better and start earlier nut put a male in the right situations and I have no preference. When worked with right they all work their butts off for you. Males may just need a bit more time to mature and a bit more handling but either will work for me if they do there job

Yeah buddy I'm not interested in breeding and you know I'm partial to a more white colered breed but he will give me a chance to try a few new techniques and ideas I have been pondering for starting and training. whats your thoughts on their color I don't think they will darken much like your females I bet they keep the light color under the ticking.

Josh you gave me a firecracker son you may well have done something with this breeding I'm happy with him besides the fact he is a hard headed son of a gun. He is smart as a whip and he is independent not scared of anything and gives these cats around here hell there are a few around here missing some fur I haven't pushed him or forced anything on him he saw a cat and he's now obsessed when he goes out he's looking for one. I know it's early but just watching him I like him. The one question I have though with the Rambo II blood were you hoping to add some tree power or a change over bark from what I noticed on Ramsey and Beula they Bawl on tree do think He will throw a chop or somekind of change over on tree. Brahma treed a couple coons and he had the bawl on tree as well. Thanks for the pup I hope you end up regreting giving him to me that overbite doesnt mean he won't hunt buddy.

tmatt you beat me to that on them being Eli as well. I'm just a fan of the more gamebred smaller type pits I have done a bunch of research on game pits an bloodlines. There are a bunch of folks who breed these dogs just to sell pups which is where alot of that people aggression comes from they worry about the money and won't cull one that shows then it gets bred passing on these traits. The game pits are supposed to have plenty of stamina and no quit they aim to please and won't cur. I will not fight any dog but I guess you could call me a nerd on pits and their history. Jack Kroener has a line that I'm wanting to try all Hollingsworth bred has anyone ever tried or had one of these dogs. Guys you have some great looking dogs and would love to hear some more input. Blakebh, Tom Garner who has quiet a few litters on the ground that go back to that Chinaman/Alligator cross they are proud off them but if I had the money to spend I would jump on it quick.

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Those using Pits as Catch Dogs?

Hey guy's I always use a pit to catch hogs, the question I have for you is what bloodline do you guys prefer. The best I ever had was linebred Chinaman on top and Some other Eli and Jeep on bottom. Hard to find some blood like it down here but I'm always looking. He was a 40 to 45 lbs hard mouthed head buster who hit hard and was tough as they come, that said he was also laid back and pretty well mannered, I never had to worry about him around people or kids and he stayed in the yard with other dogs. I'd like to hear what you guys like.

I have been fortunate not to have any of my dogs eaten but its always in the back of my mind and there has been more than once i thought it was going to happen. Like before They seem to act different in different places. I was in a hunting club where they lost 9 or 10 a year during deer season when the dogs ran through the lake swamp but these gators knew what was happening it was real dry and u could drive around the lake between the trees and the water but when dogs came close they would line the shore have a picture somewhere when i cut dogs there was 7 different gators that came up to see where the dogs were. Another time we were fishing waiting on dark ready to coon hunt i tied my dogs to the bumper and he was barking we swa the gator make a Bline 200 yards and up to shore within 25 feet of the dog before i got there to get him up lol they know what a dog is and some look for them apparently

Noah some call this drifting the track when a dog picks its head up and runs the track on the wind not an expert but like previously stated most likely down wind very interesting to watch all this take place i know u hate my hounds but notice if a hog crosses where the dogs cross after never the same place 5 10 25 yards downwind when u get back call me i have a book that goes into detail
