Looking for a gritty pup. Preferably catahoula mutt of some sort. Lacy pit or bmc. Primarily need a rough stock/coyote kill dog. Run the occasional hog when not hunting coyotes. Long shot, but worth a try. still in the market

Lol those aren't my dogs and I'm not the one who made the video. Thats just what I was referring to on the grit for a trap line dog. Similar to how the Texas blue lacy was used. The first video depicts how and what a decoy dog does.

I'll post a video tomorrow. I have 1 decoy dog I use now, he's 1/2 cat 1/2 Australian shep. He's gritty and smart but he needs a buddy and I want to choose the mix up for this one. I have a buddy who uses a cat x bmc x pit as well

haha i should of specified, i agree with you but i dont run coyotes. I use a decoy dog.....i go out and call and the dog does most of the work, bringing the coyote or coyotes in. after the shot if wounded i want a tough as nails dog who will bay and dispatch if needed....ill try and post a video of what im talking about, more of a trapline lype dog is what im looking for with grit, and brains to get the job done.

im looking for a do all dog, some pig hunting, but mainly coyote. im wanting a real gritty dog, who will bay when needed, but not scared to jump in a grab a throat, dont want a big clumsy dog either, i need one with stamina but with grit and fight as well....any thought or opinions are appreciated, i know this is the hog hunting forum, but figured someone would be able to provide some input. thanks in advance! -Lee here are the videos, one is graphic but shows the grit i want in a coyote dog on a trap line (and these are 6 month old pups), if im not supposed to show this type of video, i appologize and one of the mods can remove it. thanks guys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qJeB9m5MMo

Look up sanderskennels.com I know of a few breeders in the US. He just happens to produce the best looking ones in my opinion. As far as legality I don't think it's illegal to own one.

im pretty sure you can own one, in fact there are several people that breed them here in the US. i think where one would get into trouble is if they bought one from another country and had it shipped in. i believe, correct me if im wrong, you have to wait for the pup to be quarantined for a few months before allowed on US soil.

I am going to give this on a try as a CD. He is a bulldog/dogo cross. Very trainable, laid back, and eager to please. This particular cross has been a good one for a smart, well mannered, hard catching CD the other times his breeder has made it. I hope he turns out to be the same. He is big but moves very well for a puppy. bulldog.....by that do you mean pit or american bulldog?
