I had a big catahoula dog a few years ago that did the same thing. Vet sewed it up like you did and he made a full recovery with no issues till he died. Good luck.

Interesting question. Anxious to hear the responses from some experienced bulldog men. Personally I think it’s all about the natural motor and brain of the dog itself. I think age and experience may play a part too.

Mike thank you and Britt for a great time this weekend. It was well worth the hours and the miles! Got some puppy work in at Britts pen and a tour of the ghetto hogs bedroom! Lol Dangdest place I’ve ever hunted in. Hope to get back down soon and do it again. Thank you both.

Very well said Slim. I agree 100%. Having control of your dog is a positive thing. Not a negative. The tone to me is no different than “come here”. They should always do that no matter what. I’m not saying I have as much control of mine as I should because I don’t get to spend the time I used to, but it’s still true.
