Anyone that is looking for a good, honest bay pen need to check out Taylor Made's in Livingston. There is nothing but good things to say about them. They treat everyone like an old friend. They have good, fair judges and they have tested their hogs to keep pseudorabies at bay. They are doing everything possible to keep baying as safe and fair as possible. It's the best bay pen we've been to.

We no longer own or operate Village Mills Bay Pen. It now belongs to Jake Loiacano and Heather Mortimer. We wish them the best. We would like to thank all of the people that were so faithful in supporting us because without all of you we couldn't have stayed open. We have made some great, life-long, friends through the bay pen.

What a great time was had by all this weekend! The weather make it perfect for the dogs and hogs to put on a show worth seeing. A big thanks to our bay pen friends that traveled so far to bay their dogs. We know everybody can't make it every time and those of you that didn't get to come, we hope you make it for the next baying. We will not be having a baying for the next two months, March & April.

I will be attending this comp and it will be my first bay comp. I am bringing two of my lacy pups, is there anything special I need to bring like rabies certificates or anything like that?
Nothing special needed. Look forward to seeing you.

Thanks to all of you that braved the iffy weather Saturday. We had a great turnout. Everybody seemed very pleased with the baying and all seemed to have a good time. We appreciate all of you for the support because without you we couldn't keep the bay pen open, feed the hogs and pay the utilities.

The sun is out and it looks like the rain might hold off until tomorrow afternoon. The baying is on. Come on out and enjoy yourselves. Our hogs almost know how to swim by now anyway so if it rains they won't be bothered.

Entry fees are no more than normal I'm assuming so the monetary demand isn't much different than a single day bay (its still cool enough to camp, don't spend money on hotel). The only difference is - added money to purse = more entries = more time needed for each event, hence three days instead of 1.
If there is $300-$500 added money to the single events and $500-$1000 added to Two dog events you WILL draw a crowd. Whatever month you chose.
That being said....a mid to late summer bay would ensure that your three day bay is HUGE!
Hog feed must be cheap where you are! You should trying putting on a bay and adding that much extra money. You barely make enough to pay the help , light bill, and keep the hogs in good shape .

I copied my results from the facebook page not knowing that you had a new middle name inserted. Really sorry Brandon. Hey everybody, Logan is not Brandon Fowlers middle name. I hate to admit it but the computer is smarter than I am and I don't catch every mess up.

The Texas State Championship at Village Mills was a success thanks to all of our visitors and participants. Almost everyone demonstrated good sportsmanship with some questionable calls. Judges are human and we don't tell them how to judge nor do we correct the things that they miss. If we did that we wouldn't need to pay judges but we are changing some rules for our pen. Having said that, here are the results from the bay. 1 puppy AM 1st Apache - Jimmy Jones 2nd Joe- Flat Creek Kennels 3rd Rowdy- Triple R 4th Luke- Flat Creek 2 Puppy AM 1st Rowdy & Charlie Brown-Triple R 2nd Joe & Luke_ Flat Creek 3rd Cane & Rosco- Ben McDow 4th Zoey & Tuff- Tammy Hays 1 dog AM 1st Clyde-Tom Cordle 2nd Nick- Bob Batton 3rd Mo Money Triple R 4th Ellie- Brandon Fowler 2 dog AM 1st Odd Ball - Jake Loiacano & Ellie- Brandon Logan Fowler 2nd 3rd Split -Georgia Mae & Tank - Triple R & Rosie & Deacon - Moffitt Catahoulas 4th Cricket & Raunchy- Jimmy Jones Old & Young 1st Deacon & Crowbar - Moffitt Catahoulas 2nd Zing & Balck Betty- Rimfire 3rd Lindsey & Bill- Lincoln Vivion Youth 1st Cajun- Weston Nugent 2nd Lizzie - Kaden Ingram 3rd Dottie- Leighton Savant 4th Lil Red Keegan Fregia 5th Balzer- Madison Cole 1 dog Pro 1st Duke- Mark Fregia 2nd Brutus- Triple R 3rd Blackjack -Moffitt Catahoulas 4th Corky - Donene Moore 2 dog Pro Split 1st & 2nd Odd Ball & Ellie-Jake Loiacano & Brandon Fowler & Mo MOney & Junior - Triple R Split 3rd & 4th Rosie & Deacon- Moffitt Catahoulas & Bo & Georgia Moe Triple R
