1  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Gettin out need help on: August 05, 2013, 01:25:20 am
Guys due to some recent family issues I am forced to get out of hunting.  I have a few dogs I am willing to sell for cheap cause I need the money. In a bind and hate to see them go to waste. Im straight up on all the dogs.

1. 2.5 year old bmc/pit gyp.  She ranges around 300-400 yards on her own but has went .5 also by herself. She has found a few. Shes very gritty and usually pays for it.   She stays step for step with my buddys lead dog on every hunt and they usually range 600-800 together.  She is cut right now and has been resting up for about 3 weeks now. No human or dog aggression but will back a dog away from her feed bowl.Askin $300

2. 1.5 year old registered plott gyp. Alabama hammer/sizzlin heat. She hasn't shown much interest in a hog. She barked at one a few times and quit.  I know a guy who has the littermate and shes burning the woods up. Not sure if she will ever turn on but the blood is there so I was goin to use her for breeding purposes. She did tree a coon on accident one night in the yard. No human or dog aggression.  Asking $200.

3. 5 month old gsp/catahoula.  Has barked at a hog but haven't messed with him much. Shows a lot of interest.  Has one glass eye, built well. Long legs seems like he going to be leggy. No human or dog aggression.  Asking $100

4. 5 month old 1/2 pit 1/4 AB 1/4 Dogo. Fine build bulldog. I recon he'll be 75lbs+ full grown. Great handle no human or dog aggression. Asking $100

Like I said im straight up on all the dogs. Not looking to burn anyone. Just in a bind and need to get out and get on my feet.

Im getting a BloodhoundxCat male, he's 1.5 year old and been in a bay pen a couple times and only been hunted a handfull of times but only broke just over 200 yards.  Should i do mock hunts with him to improve his range and confidence or just run him with my dogs? Have u guys ever had dogs quit baying? Dogs struck today and as i was going to them they quit barking, so i figured they were trashing. But as i got closer to them i could hear grunting but no baying. So i kept walking and there is a monster boar standing in the thickeds and the dogs were'nt baying just sitting down looking at him. I ve caught many hogs behind these same dogs. Any advice?

I have a 1 year old plott gyp that I am selling.  She hasnt really shown much interest in a hog for me.  She wont look at one in a pen, but she did bay on a couple drags but kinda got bored with it and wondered off.  She a good looking gyp, very well bred, registered Alabama Hammer/Sizzlin Heat blood. She was silent on the every drag until her and another pup found the hog but like i stated she bayed then got bored with it.  Just trying to get back what i have in her. Asking $400.  Call or text 318-229-3346 email gcarmouche001@gmail.com

16  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Need advice please! on: March 07, 2013, 07:02:34 am
Guys I have a 11 month old plott hound, built well loud mouth and lot of energy.  She's out of sizzlin heat/alabama hammer line. Barks at anything in the yard.

My problem is that she is not showing as much interest in a hog as i like.  I got her to catch a small pig when she was around 6 months old but she will not look at a hog in  a pen.  She has ran with my older dogs and been in on a few caught hogs, barked a few times and just wondered off showing no interest in a squealing hog.  She does A LOT of playing in the woods. But sometimes goes of on her own not far but with her nose on the ground.  My question is should i cull her or wait a little longer? I was told plott hounds mature later than other dogs and usually are late bloomers. Really would like to see her turn on, just something about plotts that i love.
