We got this dog on a multi dog and equipment trade. This dog is male about 3 years old, we have only hunted him a few times, my son is off working now alot and I hunt with a buddy and we have limited places so I just dont need the extra dog. He stays very busy and stays out 500 to 1000 yards with the our lead dogs. We have not hunted him enough to know if he is trashbroke or not, just want to be upfront about that. I have two very fast lead dogs so it is very hard for him to get chances to find his own pigs but he is right there with them and at every bay, he also catches with the other dogs. We have never had him in the bay pen so I dont know if he will work in one, my best dog will not even look at hog in pen. This is basicly all I know about the dog but again he stays out and busy hunting never have to worry about him being in your way and that is something. Free 9 month old Black Mouth Curr male. He has shown no interest in hogs but comes from good dogs, he is weatherford ben bred on the dads side. I have to many dogs to wait on him to come around. He will be a good size dog.

Thanks OCD, I already tried that. I can not get the astro 220 to recognize the collar. I have heard that the astro 320 will overcome this but I dont know if it is true.

One of my Garmin DC30 collars has a solid red light and the will not connect with the hand held. I have tried to connect to perform update but it will not connect, I have taken the casing apart and unplugged from the battery to attempt to reset, nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions for repairing it other than sending to Garmin? Any help would be appreciated.

Just wondering if you more experienced hog hunters know when a dog is trashing a deer, for example in east Texas in the dense woods. Can you tell if a dog is running a deer without seeing it? And if you can how?

The ortho max tree and shrub has the same ingredients as bayer advantage spot for dogs. I use it and it works good.

I have two strike dogs for sale, I have mainly hunted BMC, cats and BMC/Plott crosses. I have a few good young dogs coming on and I had wrather not hunt them with open dogs.
Dog 1 Cur/Redbone Cross approx. 2 1/2 years old, semi open on track medium to long range. He will find hogs and will stick with one.
Dog 2 Cat/Redbone (this is what I was told) I believe this dog is about 3 years old. This dog is open on track medium to long range. He will find hogs and will stick with one.
We took these dogs three weeks ago and caught two hogs, due to the heavy terrain they bayed the first hog for an hour and half before we could get to them and they bayed the second hog for 2 hours in 100 degree plus temp.
Like I said the only reason I am considering selling these dogs is because I want to start my young dogs to be silent on track.
I am asking 300 a piece or 500 for the pair.

I keep my hunting dogs penned or chained, I used to always try to keep pups penned, but lately as I get older I have let them run in the yard as long as there are no more that one or two. I have noticed anytime you keep two pups together either loose or penned together they have a tendacy to play when it is time to get serious. Wha are some opinions on whether to keep pups penned, chained or running loose?
