hey , my head was gonna explode as i knew i had seen it recently. and yes dave pope sent some dogs to chris that did well. the screaming eagle stuff dave used seemed to blend real well the boyd stuff dave had. dave brought the elvis dog down and hunted with us several nights and i felt his polar pig female caught better than elvis. but that was here and just what i saw. the frosty female dave produced looked like a well muscled male and was a beast on man also.

years back here around salinas california ridge back apbt crosses were very common in hog hunters packs. most were used a lead in catchdogs. then i started seein g and huntin with some that were ridgeback and catahoulas. the cat ridgebacks were normally short ranged dogs and some would bay and some were ruff. dogs with some amount of ridgeback in em were real common hog dogs here for many years as well.

tdog your luck sounds about like mine.the very last ab breeding i did was some years ago and i really needed it to give me good dogs to rebuild.i kept the 2 females and ended up cullin them as they were just way too small for what i needed as my dogs werent typically big for abs anyway. i kept al4 males and one was the one, ya know. and i lost every male pup to parvo. good luck with the pups. bummer you didnt get what you wanted.

i know each state is different but here in california if a landowner sees your dogs persuing any animal on his land he is within his rights to kill em all. some years ago i had a judge convict me of hunting trespass and told us the minute our dogs went onto land we didnt have permission to hunt that we were guilty of hunting trespass as the dogs were considered to be working as our agents. glad poster came out ok .
