Thanks yall we had a pretty good time. A lot of people dont take kids, but we make it a point to. Even my 2yr old (who my wife is holding) gets mad if i go without him. Beats xbox and playstation anyday!

We decided to go hunt sunday morn and when we were pulling in to the ranch we spotted a pretty big pig running across the pasture. We kicked the dogs out and they got on her pretty quick and bayed her up in some high grass.
She ended up weighing 282.




We kicked the dogs back out and they got into a bunch of shoats and got them some scooby snacks. Once they got full they got back to business and got on this one. Ended up having to shank her cause the bull dog ripped her ear off.


Decided to hit it again this morning with some buddies that brought their dogs so we could rotate and hunt longer. Ended up catching 2 more boars only brought one out.

The dogs worked pretty good. Yeah the berry vines got us pretty good but it was well worth it.

Finally got some rain and we decided to look for some pork. Hunted for a little over 2 hours and had some luck.
1st boar, caught in a pond dang near drowned dogs and himself

2nd boar, caught in thickest blackberry patch known to man

The best hunts always have a story. I was headed to meet my brother in law, feed the dogs and the we were headed to the gym to work out. Well he had let two of our bmc dogs (our best two) out of their kennels to stretch their legs, we do this all the time. The next thing we know they are gone along with our 6 month old long hair catahoula puppy that we have just starting hunting. Well we figure they are not far so we load up on his mule and start driving around with no luck. Finally we hear them way the hell out there and we have no catch dogs. So I get on the phone to my wife and she hauls ass to the kennels, gets two bulldogs and his girlfriend and they come meet us. We figured they had been bayed for at least 30 min and our dogs are pretty rough so if they hadnt tired to catch on their own yet it had to be big. We got there and let the dogs loose, she busted before they got her caught. She went about 20 yds into some thick stuff. Had to crawl on belly to get in there and when i pop up she is about 4 feet away and with about 150 lbs of bulldogs on her she comes to me. Sidestepped around a sapling at the right time and got her flipped. First pig ever caught in gym clothes. Had to stick her in the woods, she was pretty chewed up we guess 220-250lbs.

Everyone knows the best way to keep your wife from giving you a hard time about how much you hunt is to take them with you. And when you have a 2 year old might as well get them in the woods to. This is the first one my son caught with us. He really didnt know what to think about the "bad piggy". Gotta start them young.

Left the house and 24 minutes later hog tied and on the wheeler.
