Probably my most memorable hunt was Christmas Eve 2010 my wife bought me a smoker for Christmas so I wanted to catch me a nice sow to try it out. So I rode around that day and found some fresh rooting and around 10 or so that night I loaded up. Low and behold I bay about 250lb boar and catch him but came with a price I lost damn good dog to him that night. So I handcuffed the boar and tied to a tree so I could get my dog doctored up. Came back later he had broken the cuffs and got away. I lost dog and the hog. What's funny is the hog was caught couple years later in trap with cuffs still on his legs not once but caught twice in the same trap about year apart. After the first time the guy sold the hog and he got out of his pen an winded up in same trap again. I have posted this story before on here with pics but it's been while. I have the pics somewhere. Crazy crazy story it's hard to believe. Wish I hadn't have even hinted that night bc I lost great dog. Rip tuff

This is one of main reasons I don't buy hog dogs. All but one of my dogs were free and only paid 75$ for only one I paid money for. Mine aren't the greatest but I am feeding 7 right now and everyone can get the job done on their own. Some are just better at it then others. One thing I see wth buying a supposedly finished hog dog is that someone will go pay big money and bring the dog home take it hunting very next day with all his buddies and all his buddies dogs and be very disappointed when the dog doesn't do well. Then immediatly want to take it back. Sometimes it might take a good dog several months and countless hunts to be back to its normal self

I like to hunt alone but I don't take a catch dog I just take one old dog and pups. And my 22 mag but I usually just watch them bay. If I see a chance to get a hand on it I will try to catch it unless it's just a monster.

Been while since I been on here. How many hunt during night hours during deer season? I have few folks that have hogs periodically and want me to hunt them. Got call earlier think I may load up about midnight and try bay one havnt caught one in while. If I do any good I post some pics

Turned loose at daylight yesterday morning had good boar caught and barred by 830am one dog in pretty rough shape then went to another spot and didn't get on anything. Sure was nice all day long I wanted to go back that evening but wife had different plans

Yupp it was my bad. About 2 years back someone asked about two of my bull dogs on here and I couldn't post pics from my phone yet so someone offered to post them for me... Well after researching on how this person got my pics, I realized he's the person who was trying to "help" me post my pics. I won't be doing that again. The idiot found me on fb last week not realizing it was me and saw a dog in my profile pic and started messaging me saying how mine favors his,.. Well he sends a pic and IT'S MY OWN DOG lol

It really gets rediculous on Facebook sites. I seen one post where a guy was concerned about running his dogs in the heat and wantin advice and turned into a pissing match where some guy was wanting to bet 5k$ that he could catch more hogs lol. I mean really??? My dogs would be dead and gone by time I could save that much cash for a bet. lol. I don't post on those sites anymore but it sure is entertaining to say the least

not really much of a story. We couldn't turn loose until 12 fri morning and by 1215 we had him caught lol. Then dogs rolled off an bayed big boar we caught both within 30min of hunt. We new they were there we been feeding them for 3wks. We had one barr and 4 big boars coming to same spot and we just happen to bay him first. We had the same barr come in back in November and we tried to catch him but he ran thru some small hogs an dogs got on them. So it was kinda personal with me but since he came back close to tournament we decide to wait n try him then

Lol I hear ya on that. Most of mine aren't fast eaters. I only ask bc I'm thinkin about gettin an offshore job and my wife won't have time to feed daily.
