1  THE CLASSIFIEDS / CLASSIFIED ADS / Looking to trade for gun on: October 15, 2012, 08:19:14 pm
I have a 4 month old, well bred, UKC registered male Plott pup. He is just ready to start now, but I am not able due to health. I have about $400 in him between puchase and registration and would like to trade for something around the same value. Does not have to be guns, but that is what I would prefer, but you never know, just let me know what you have. This pup is double bred Bengali who is a top hog dog owned by White Deer Kennel. Both parents of this pup were hog dogs. I have papers in hand so he is ready to hand over and transfer. Great looking pup and I can text pictures. For pictures or any other information, please text me at 512-944-5054 but if it is at 3am, please email me at oak33@austin.rr.com . I am located in Central Texas in between Austin and San Antonio, but can travel a little bit for the right trade. Have a great day!

Hey Everyone, I wanted to let all of you know that if you have been looking for some well bred Plotts or the thought even crossed your mind about hunting with Plotts, Collars and Cutters Kennels on here has some of the finest Plott pups that I have seen in a while. I picked up one and if my health was better, I would have taken several. Matt can send you pictures of some of the hogs that he has taken with sire and dam of these pups. On top of being well bred, they are by proven hunting parents. I simply wanted to put this ad on here for Matt because I was so impressed with the bloodlines, hunting capability and good looks of his Plott pups, not to mention he is a good, honest man to deal with. I don't want anyone to miss out if your are looking for the real deal. I have raised Plotts for years and I am so happy with the pup that I picked up from Matt. (No, he did not pay me to write this Smiley, he does not even know). It is Matt at Collars and Cutters Kennels, you can check out his ad in this section. Give him a call or text at 832-715-1130 Please call or text only!  mnoviskie@aol.com

Do any of yall hunt the White Deer Joe Plott lines? I have several that are hog machines and they took to all of it completely naturally. Joe Burkett has them listed on his website as being born hard wired for hogs. I have had such success with those bloodlines and simply wondered if any of yall have hunted them. I know most of the White Deer breeding goes back to the weems lines, Dollins Hicks. Anyway, just thought I'd see what yall thought.

Plotts are all I have. Nothing against any other breed, I just love the versatility of the Plott. My bay dogs have a deep, loud chop and my strike dog is silent on track. Sometimes she will let out a yelp on a hot track, but other than that, she's quiet. Mine are gritty enough to get after one no matter what it takes, but smart enough to get the job done. I really like them.

I had one just like that and I doubled her dry food but wet it down. Once it was soupy, I added two eggs and red cell for dogs. It did not take very long at all. I know that the satin balls and crisco work well also, but I went with eggs and red cell on this one because I had it all right in the fridge. A lot of folks feed the shell and all for the calcium, but years ago I had a dog get bloody stools because the little shards of egg shell were scratching his digestive tract. Good luck!

Most feed/supply stores will sell 10% permethrin concentrate. It is labled as a premise spray as well as sprayed directly on the dogs, it just depends on your mixing ratio. It has a 28 day residual bonus which worked great for me. It costs between $6-$8 dollars and will make nearly 50 gallons. One bottle will last me all year easily and it is a very safe mixture as well. My place was also covered in flies, worst I had ever seen and now I rarely see a fly. Good luck to you!

I hunt with two gritty Plotts and a 40# pit. The Plotts are silent on track and will catch on command. The pit gives me a solid ear catch every time and my 94# male Plott will shut down any struggle once I call him in. I feel confident turning the three of them loose on anything anywhere.

I have a 1978 Ford F250 4X4 Hi-Boy that I rebuilt. I can get it stuck if I really try, but otherwise it keeps on rolling. I'll try to get a picture posted.

Hey Ladies and Gents, post a picture and the bloodlines of your Plotts. I like to look at and notice features of the different bloodlines. Any Plotts and Plott crosses for that matter. Thanks and have a great day!

20  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Anyone want to start some Plotts for me? on: April 27, 2012, 10:23:51 pm
Hello Friends, I am needing a little help due to health problems. I don't forsee my condition hindering me for the long term, so I wanted to see if there was anyone out there that would be interested in starting some dogs for me. I have a male and female reg. Plotts that are coming on 7 and 9 months old. They are both White Deer bred and their litter mates have made some fine hog dogs and I want to see if these two will be worth anything. Let me know if you interested and I am sure we can work out something that would be good for everyone! You can message me on here, email me at oak33@austin.rr.com but the best would be to text me at 512-944-5054 Thanks for your help, Josh Kelly
