Hide out so the pup can not see you and light her up. It may take a few times but you have to break those Cats. before they start trying to chase anything that will run from them.

I have been using a Cree XM-L T6 Led 1200 lumen headlight off Ebay. It is the brightest light I have used. On high it will out shine my 400,000 candle power Q beam. I get 3 hours on high and 10 hours on low. I only use high when I need it.You can get them off ebay for $30.00 I also carry extra batteries just in case I need them.

X2 on what Halfbreed said. I mix in a gallon jug. 4 tablespoons of Adams Flea and Tick concentrate 1/2 bottle Skin So Soft (SSS) and fill to the top with distilled water. Shake well then spray the dogs. This will keep the fleas, ticks, flies, skeeters and mites off them and make them smell good. 1 gallon of this mixture will last a long time.

I saw a skull that was painted by a artist . It looked better than any plain white skull I have ever saw. It was brushed black and gold with a swamp background look. The next big one I get I will have it painted.

I have hunted with Micheal. The owner of Hard Core Hogs And Dogs and saw him use his floatation vest a few times on a 3 legged dog that could not swim. This vest worked real good. I saw this same dog jump out of his boat Without the vest on and he sunk like a rock.It has the same level of protection as his cut vest. I have never hunted with anybody that has a Ugly Dog float vest.

I have Domino, Harlie and Wego. I named Harlie because she likes the back of the truck. Domino is a bounty hunter. The kids named Wego from a beer commercial.

I have almost gave a few friends a hart failure by putting a rubber snake under a rag and asking them to hand me that rag. I also cleared a rave around 3:00 a.m. one morning by letting a flourescent green painted diller loose. I wish yall could have seen those city kids running.

They should not have ticked the owner of the dog for not following the leash law. I know that a dog like that is better hand controlled by the collar in a situation like that. Now they will try to ban the DOGO because this woman was not smart enough to leave a dog alone that was not hers and she did not know.If it would have been sabertoothed chiwawa she would have been 4 or 5 times before anybody could have done anything.

I get everything microchipped on my yard. I have gotten 2 dogs back because of it. They were picked up and brought to the pound. The pound said the dogs were dropped off without any collars on them. When I turned them loose they had collars with name tags and tracking collars. Anyway the chips did help me get my dogs back

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Russian or European blooded hogs ?

I believe it has a lot to do with the hog its self. I have raised a litter of piglets in 100 acre pin and 3 were good boars at 3 years old. I learned a lot from watching them with the dogs. One would stand his ground and fight anything, one would run for 20 to 30 minutes then bay with almost no fight, and the last one would run for hours. These three boars were off a rank russian boar and sow they would stand their ground and fight a dog if it gets to close. The hogs had a lot of puppies trained on them and I could tell people which boar the dogs were on with in five minutes just by how the dogs were moving.

Ruben , what are you doing with the deer breaking scent. I always enjoy learning new tips. Most of the training tips and tricks I have been tought came from old time coon hunters that were hard on dogs that didn't do right and they were real hard on my as a youngster.

I use deer training scent. You can get it from just about any hound/hunting supply. For puppies I will set 6 to 10 traps spred over 1 acre and turn them out. Most of the time it will break them after a few snaps. I have only had 2 dogs trash on deer after this method was used. I have only been hunting hogs with dogs for 8 years but I coon hunted for 22 years and will train every puppy this way.
