1  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / English Bull Terrier free to good home, ASAP on: October 10, 2012, 10:06:06 am
I have a 3 year old English Bull Terrier free to a good home. Need to find him a home ASAP. Can no longer do it anymore he's tearing up my 7 year old boxer for the last time he's on his death bed. Dog is extremely gamey and no quit in him at all text me if you have questions or want a picture. He needs a home where he can get attention very well mannered just male aggressive at times and probably not best fit for home with kids. He's white with black spot on eye ears fold over. Most heart I've probably ever seen in a dog..... hate to do this.

Born 09/13/2012
6 blues & 4 reds(may turn tri colored)

Sire is "tlgda" registered and is an excellent blood tracker with a good nose. He's also been put on plenty of hogs in the pen and woods and will shut down a runner and sit back and bay. He get's gritty on smaller hogs though and will tend to catch especially with other dogs around. He's a big bodied Lacy dog for the average I've come across and has a real blocky head with some long legs. Also is an excellent retriever water and land.

Gyp is not registered but she is built like a typical Lacy. Small build and compact. She is hell on wheels when put on hogs..... Little too rough for my liking shes got herself banged up quite a bit and still ain't learned to back up sometimes but she is a good dog just needs to be ran with vest. She's a hog dog.

Not sure but I highly recommend the Buckhorn Exchange it's the oldest place to eat in Denver. I went a few months back and got served up gator tail, rattlesnake, quail, game-hen, elk, buffalo, lamp chops and I know I'm forgetting a few others. Great food if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm going to have to disgree on the mentality being a cur breed.  If you have never been around one you would not understand what I mean.  I'm not talking tracks or what ever but take a hot fence my female is a master escape artist she will literally stand there at it thinking how to avoid it and get out.  Just things like that.  You would truly have to be around one to understand what I mean.  Tbob your thinking smart and yes there are some durn smart dogs out there but for a dog to really think I don't see as much.

The velociraptors in Jurrassic Park did that exact same thing, I wonder if some of that way back in the lacy's history?

Probably got some t-rex though

I know exactly where you're coming from purebreedcolt. Just the way they tend to carry themselves. I got a border collie and smart as hell but can't solve a problem like a good Lacy can.

9  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Blue Lacy w/ papers on: August 28, 2012, 10:40:55 am
I've got a 7 month old Lacy blue in color with white blaze on chest. I have his papers and he is out of a good TLGDA bloodline. He is current on his shots and been dewormed. He's been in pen with hogs and barked but haven't gone any further with him. $300 or make me an offer.

Yeah he's been on some hogs, he's extremely rough and goes right for the neck every time just about. I know what you mean, I would love to have another but they are real hard to find out of a hunting stock or somebody willing to let you hunt them. I'll be a buyer if you got that program set up!!! Shiner is good looking for sure. Is there a difference between English Bull Terriers & Bull Terriers? I'm not so sure but Roscoe is English style. Lol we let him play with 12lb bowling bowl and he destroys them, his favorite toy. Have to watch your legs/ankles when he throws it at you.

I'm not sure what Bull Arabs have in them but that's another breed I have taken a liking too.

I know what you mean about if she saw another dog it was right for the neck..... Roscoe has killed two other dogs of the neighbors because they've gotten loose and come onto the property. It's really unfortunate but his prey drive is insane like you say there isn't no quitting. He's a real good dog though just gets his feelings hurt too easily at times, lol.

Yeah that's pretty cool. Check out Hawaii also, it's thick. I had no clue they had hogs in Colorado though.

Grin I had to do it. Post em up, show me what you got. I rarely come across anybody who hunts them but know of a few plus the one I use. Some of the most hard headed dogs I know hands down. Real emotional too. This is Roscoe he doesn't have an ounce of quit in him.

15  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Cut Vest or no Cut Vest???? on: July 30, 2012, 10:42:54 am
I just use cut collars on my Lacys. They don't seem to mind in the heat too much.

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Direct TV on: July 26, 2012, 05:23:47 pm
The internet plan is free. With TV plan you're still going to make it out ahead of everyone else.... Not to mention your tv remote is a android tablet.

Yeah I've got an option for you.... You'll have to wait for it to come to Texas but I can promise you every other provider is feeling the heat right about now.

Google Fiber. Free internet with $300 one time construction fee charge. $25 monthly over 12 months. After that its completely free and better then any of the others. Hope this helps.

19  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Rattlesnakes!! on: July 26, 2012, 04:33:34 pm
I had one bit twice by the same snake in the same general location on the back right leg from baby cottonmouth.... Swelled up within hours. Lasted a couple of days then the swelling went down. I kept her on Bynadryl(sp?) and she was back to her normal self in just a few days. Cottonmouth venom is similar to rattlesnake I think.
