Like Mr. Whitten says, Buddy Goatcher and Joey Young have been doing this for years now I believe. Great guys that will go out of thier way to help you out. Cain't say a bad word about either one of em. Pretty sure that they have been tracking the patterns of mature boars as well. I am gonna have to go back and read up on what they have been doing now.lol
6  NEWS AND UPDATES / TEXAS LAWS and BILLS / Re: Once again update on HB 1451, just to inform on: April 05, 2012, 01:38:49 pm
I have read with interest these posts and have supported groups fighting this legislation. But I am confused. I thought there were exemptions for working dogs already made law.

I bought a whole bunch of it and Ray the guy that runs the outfit was a real good dude.
He had it delivered on a load already coming this way. I paid the driver something too. But all told it's not that expensive for what you get. This flooring will last a while. I got enough to do  30 x 30
I make the runs 5x15 but I wouldn't mind making them a little bigger. It is easy to cut it or add to it to do what you need. The dogs do great on it, and I can clean them all in less than five minutes. He sells slush pans to go under it that some people use. But the clean up is so easy that I am glad I didn't spend the money. I feed a good feed and there really isn't much to clean. My dogs are little.

I have a slab with a drain. I built the kennels up and just wash everything down. Spray the dogs off at the same time. Seemed like something I would be proud of. Never felt like a waste of money. Besides the dude asked.
I was not trying to be rude. Sorry it came out that way.

I am going to use wood off the ground and put a rain gutter on the back and have it go to a pipe and into the sewer. I was going to make a small septic system but the sewer is where poop goes and I just had pipes replaced and had a seperate access put in I can run over to Grin

Everyone has a different situation. I just like cheap and easy because I am a broke, lazy dude Grin
To tell the truth I was worried that I would be explaining it all to the yearly inspector or what ever it was they were gonna make us do. Said to my self what the hell. They are gonna make me do something crazy like this sooner or later any way. So I bought a bunch and even put some of it up for sides.lol

I have a couple of friends from Spain that have Izbian hounds or Podenco dogs. They have them in all sizes and hunt everything from rabbits to boar with them. They are sight and sent hounds and have been around for ever. Thought about trying a couple but I have enough weird pot lickers as it is. I like the looks of them though.

Bought some used tenderfoot or the stuff they use in fancy farrowing crates from a guy up north. It is coated iron and heavy as hell but will last a lifetime. Easy clean up too.

13  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Drahthaar x Jagd cross pups will be free to hunting homes. on: March 22, 2012, 10:50:19 pm
I am gonna try something new. I am crossing one of my jagds to a drathaar bitch. Both dogs have been hunted on a variety of game including hogs. Both have been hunted on upland game. I expect that the result will be a little rough. Never heard of the cross but it worked well Jagd to GSP. Let me know if you are interested. 409-933-4039 or wohleb12@yahoo.com. Thanks, Jay

Here are the pics of the GSP Jagd cross.

14  NEWS AND UPDATES / TEXAS LAWS and BILLS / Re: support this org. on: March 14, 2012, 09:04:39 am
That is a great group and already strongly funded. They have alot of support. Many of the dog associations do not have the supporters. But I agree we should support BOTH AND ALL
Good point. Should have joined TDHA years ago. No excuse for not doing so. Joined today.

New to the MB but thought I'd chime in on the topic. First off I try my level best to start with the right litter. I believe this is the most important choice. Next I exculde dogs that for one reason or another don't seem to be quite right. Then I immediately fall back on the tried and true method of eenie meenie miny mo. Never fails to whittle it down to the only one worth having. JM2C

Sounds a lot like CHP or coon hound paralysis. Vets have a hard time diagnosing it, and it is not as common here in the south. But dogs get it here too and the symptoms you describe sound identical to it
