I have a young cd he is solid black dog weighs around 50 lbs very good dog u can put him in the pen with another dog and he is fine no human or dog aggresion what so ever, he will go to ba and be caught on ear if baydogs don't have them I have caught several big pigs with him, he does not pull on lead while walking in he loads right up n box the only reason I'm seeing him is I have pups out of 2 of my main catch dogs that I am training, iv bred these dogs for the last 3 yrs. I have a litter of bmc pups that turn a week old today, the dad is a finished hood dog pretty gritty and the mom is pretty much straight catch both full blood bmc's. I was wondering how old to start working with them on hogs and how many times I should mess with then on a hog. Thanks and any help will b much appericiated!

I try to hunt at least 2 or 3 times a week it is hard for us up here to get on a bunch of pigs we have so many deep canyons and such! I have a 2 yr old bmc male that out strikes my 6 yr old finished dog 99% of the time he is very much trash broke! He struck his first boar off the hood at 11 months old over my old finished dogs this pup has no quit in him he gets on a track he will either shut it down or u will have to go pick him up I run 2 bay dogs and 2 bulldogs sometimes I wish I had more on the nasty runners in the thick canyons!

I thought about turning bulldogs loose but the way I raise and train my bulldogs I don't know if they would mess with them I don't have a mean or aggressive dog in my yard I don't allow it cause of my kids if a dog grawls at another dog in my yard he leaves the yard I might b a little to picky but I don't believe in keeping dogs u can't trust! I'm gonna go back this week and try that boar again and c if they come up I might have a little surprise for them this time 12 gauge catch dog should do the trick!

Friday night we go hit a spot where we have been feeding a bunch of hay, the dogs strike out of the back of the truck they go 380 and started hammering down we have 3 curs on the ground and 2 of those dogs r very catchy so we knew we had a good hog bayed we grab bulldogs and go walkin n we get with in 100 yrds fixn to cut them and it goes silent we set their and watch on garmin they r heading right for us about that time a big boar goes flying over the pond damn about 50 yrds from us then here come our dogs with some more company I knew we only had 3 dogs but their was 6 coming to us I was like what the hell they get 30 yrds or so we realize it was 3 coyotes they seen us and hauled a$$ get the dogs caught 2 of my dogs had by marks in their hind end from the coyotes any body else ever had this happen!

We was drivin down the road and I have a pup that strikes out of back we drove past some cows and a bunch of round bales that were all messed up and I thought the pup was barking at the cows so I got out and whooped his a$$ we kept on hunting we came back by the same place about 30 minutes later and my old dog goes to whinning so I stop and let them both out and they ran over to the hay right n middle of the cows and go to hammering down! Come to find out their was 6 hogs layed up n he middle of the hay bales between all the cows we ended up catching a medium size sow I would never that they would of been right n the middle of all the cows!

She is kinda coming around in the kennel, I took her hunting Friday night and she is a totally different dog when she is hunting, sometimes she is hard to catch at the bay, but she is slowly coming around, thanks for all y'all's help! So far she has been very rough pretty much straight catch I hope she last for at least 1 litter of pups!

I took her and a finished dog out yesterday where I had staked a 150 lb boar on the back side of a brush pile, we had no wind but they could smell him both of them had their noses in the air I turned them loose and they finally found him she stayed with my finished dog, my finished dog found him and she is straight catch so far no bark she just ran in and caught! When ur hunting with her she is not as shy as when she is n the kennel so hopefully she will come around. And thanks for all y'all's help again if she works out I'm gonna breed her to my finished hood dog!

I got this bmc gyp she is 3 yrs old has a good nose and is very rough, the only problem I have with her is she is very shy what can I do to get her to come around and not be so skiddish, everyday when I feed them I always get in their and let her sometimes put a lead on her and walk her for a bit! Is their anything else I'm missing or what can I do to make her better! Any help will b appreciated! Thanks!
