Lookin for a blood hound pup, prefer male and must be registered. Will negotiate on on a female. No older than 3-4 months! Let me know what you've got. Got a ridge back gyp that's a good bay dog I'd trade or buy the pup, either way is fine. Contact at trevor_raper@yahoo.com or 580-263-0433, prefer text but either will work

THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Bull dog and ridgeback for sale
|
on: September 06, 2013, 05:02:42 pm

I've got a 3/4 pit 1/4 American bull dog close to being finished that I'm looking to sale. Guaranteed to catch on the head, mostly ears but will grab the snout on occasion. The only reason I say he's not finished is because he needs a little more time in the woods. Great around other dogs and people, he's not a fighter but won't back down either, all teeth in tact, no chips or cracks. Weighs around 45 pounds, will be 3 years old December 4th. Second dog is a full blood ridgeback gyp, 5-6 years old around 80 pounds. She bays tight but isn't rough, will range a couple hundred yards by herself but will go as far as the other dogs will if they leave out. She's more of a bay/help dog but will strike her own occasionally. Trash broke, friendly and very easy to catch. Asking 225 for the bulldog and 250 for the ridgeback. Firm on both, neither are registered. You can call or text 580-263-0433 or email trevor_raper@yahoo.com.

Jon you beat me to it i was actually gona say the exact same thing. I heard a good ol cuting board can make you quite a bit of them. Plus you can design em the way you like as well. And as far as a cd who wont let go being a cull, i would take 10 culls anyday!

223 best all around gun there is tac driver at any distance with the right scope speed behind this caliber is ridiculous and you can get the ammo for it from any where and it's a cheap round
I disagree with a 223 being the best all around gun. The reason I say that is because once the bullet carries past 300 yards it drops in a hurry. Although the bullet is virtually the same as a 22-250, the powder in the shell makes a tremendous difference and makes it a lot faster than a 223. I have a custom ar-15 decked out as well as a howa 22-250 with floated bull barrel. I like them both a lot but at long distances the 22-250 is better hands down in my opinion.

Cedar tree or any tree or brush near that pen? Cedar trees notorious for holding ticks.
There is one hackberry tree that hangs over two pens and a few oak trees approx thirty yards away

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Any ideas?

I have a question. I have quite a few dogs on my yard all in kennels that are touching each other, but only one dog on the whole place has ticks. Does it have anything to do with breed since he is my only bull dog? I know how to get rid of ticks but was just curios to everybody else's opinion on why only one dog would have them. Thanks

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: dog kennel on concrete

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I have heard that a dog being on concrete all the time will sometimes mess up there smelling abilities. But I'm sure if you clean out the kennels regularly the issue wouldn't be a problem. JMO

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / What do I do?
|
on: March 06, 2012, 10:01:47 am

I bought a pair ad catahoula litter mates from an older man the other day. They are a couple months over a year old, one male and one female. I was looking at the female a couple of days ago And I believe she is pregnant. The only male she has been around her whole life is her brother lol. So my question is what do I do? Dispose of them when they are born or keep them? I've never had a litter of in bred puppies so I don't know what to expect. What is your opinion?
