Sprinkle cat litter on them, oil never dries it just seeps into the pores of the concrete. Itll soak it up unless it rains. Just leave on there for a couple days

Had those cheap aluminum blocks on a 95 chevy and i put bout 2,000 miles on it before those blocks started gettin torn up (the nipple that connects it to the leaf spring ripped off) the only thing keepin the block on was the weight of the truck. I think there more of a lowering kit than a lift kit. I switched em out for the steel blocks and had no more trouble from it for a good 40-45,000 miles before i got rid ofthe truck

Thank all yall for the prayers hes outa icu surgeon said if hes eatin breathin and movin good he can go home in a few days. Still no word on when there gonna start chemo though

The prayers are all greatly appreciated. Everything is lookin good as far as his vitals go. Hes scheduled for surgery tomorrow mornin around 9. There sayin its just a half hour surgery. So prayin all goes well

I know i dont post on here to often and when i do im always askin questions. But my dads in icu right now he had emergency surgery and they removed all but about a foot of his colan. The doc says the next 24 hrs will tell if hes gonna make it or not and if everythings ok he'll go back in on christmas to finish the surgery. He just found out a couple weeks ago im gonna give him his first granbaby thats blood related to him...  Any and all prayers are welcome yall... Thankyall and Merry Christmas

T-bob have you looked at the lil daihatsu trucks? Good lil trucks. Good in mud not much room if your any over 6 ft but they do have heaters which is a plus in this kinda weather lol

Ive been at ferguson for almost a year now, like what was said pay aint the greatest but it pays the bills most months gettin paid once a month is hard to get used to. Benefits aint near as good as what they used to be (my dad was with the state before when they had blue cross blue shield) retirement plan changed in septmber. Alot of bs to put up with from other officers and inmates.
If your strong minded at all youll end up doin more work than other officers for the same pay, today for instance did nothin but moves then was told to suit up for a move team where they used 30 oz of gas. Im still burnin from that $h!t and that happened at 1400. Still gettin the same check as officers that sat in a picket all day. Thats the cons imo.
The pros is like what was said the 4 on 4 off units. You essentially only work 16 days out if the month. Paid time off as you earn it and theres days where there aint much goin on. Plenty if room to move up and make a career out of it. Good luck it aint for everyone

  I remember one morning I went to make coffee to find a little chicken snake curled up in the basket on my coffee maker   lol  I have no idea how it got up on the counter and crawled into the machine  lol  . but it was a surprise early in the morning to say the least   lol  .

Yall mention the crappy pay and dealin with thugs and all that. Look at TDCJs pay and divorce rate. Before taxes i make a lil over $2,600 a month BEFORE taxes. Thats barely gettin by. Look at TDCJs divorce rate. Its just as bad if not worse.
Law enforcement is somethin ive always been interested in. Growin up all i wanted to be was a marine. My senior year i tore my acl and mcl and played 2 more football games on it never gettin it repaired. Marines wouldnt take me neither would the army. My next option was a game warden got ready to look at colleges and my dad got sick so i had to grow up quick and pay the bills.
Now i have the oppurtunity to be in law enforcement. To try and help a community. DSmith gave me alot of good advice. I know theres gonna obstacles in LE. But what job doesnt have obstacles?
And IMHO if you dont try your best to be the best then whats the point?

Me I want people to tell me the worst parts of a job so I can make a good decission and be preparred for the bad things. If I know the divorce rate is high then I know I better make sure my wife knows how inportant she is to me. I better come home after a bad day and tell her that I love her and put a smile on my face and leave that bad attitude outside the door. If you know it is going to rain you can get you coat and boots. I would rather be ready for the bad instead of being caught off guard. Then when you wife starts telling you that you are a jerk and acting like a horses rear you will listen instead of telling her she is wrong. I tell people that if the world looks like poop then you must have your head up your @$$.

So man you do what you need to do to take care of your family. Listen to the bad stuff but don't let stop but make you a better man and the kind of cop that if I have to get stopped then let it be by you. I got a ticket from a cop and I still think he was the nicest cop ever even though he gave me the ticket. So I hope you do well and just treat people right no matter what they do to you. Then you can hold your head up where ever you go.

Good luck brother.  It really is alotta fun.  I spent 7 years on the road humpin calls, everything from the rich neighborhood to sneakin through the dope neighborhoods.  Im workin in the marine unit now, runnin boats lookin at bikinis and workin on my tan.  LIfe dont get much better.  Just gotta earn your bones on the street.
