Jim Fraser still has cow dogs -I've owned 3 dogs from him and know a few other people that use to swear by his dogs. had a gyp that got killed a few years back that was all I ever wanted in a hog dog, that was from him. Have a male that's strait catch still, that's from him - turned out good But I also have a gyp I got a couple years ago that will find a hog, good bottom, good nose, has run hogs over 2 miles - catch one when I bring her with me checking traps, but won't bark by her self, circles the hog until another dog gets there then she'll help bay or help catch depending on what dog gets to her.
Dog drives me crazy - great handle - but that no bay stuff and won't catch it either, makes me want to give her a lead aspirin

I've been around, hunted, trained, and culled my fare share of dogos, for the last 6 years - a few things I've realized - the ones that truly have it, will show interest by 8 weeks, it's your job to put time in the dog and let them have fun. They ARE very slow to mature and if you let them sit for a year like cur dogs without exposer, most will end up as culls. Exposer, exposer, exposer - fun and enjoyable. Freakin babies - big ol dogs like that. Been wanting to breed to a fl cur for the last 2 years - one day, it just might happen

Try a porch swing spring, it's a lot shorter then garage door springs My dogs are 85 and 97lbs and they can't stretch it out, best toy in the yard, lol

I started out walk hunting, still do sometimes - still do sometimes. My Florida cur gyp makes it hard - she's normally a mile out 20 mins after she hits the ground. Wheeler makes it more relaxing, lol

Started about 4 years ago with 1 dogo pup, then 6 months later got another one, me and my buddy hunted and got a few. Then picked up a little fl cur gyp and changed hunting styles a few times, now she's 17 months and has been keeping pretty consistant. Got a half brother to her a few months ago, and just enjoying my dogs and tryin to spend some time in the woods with my family and friends.
