The dog to start off with is 1/4 pit not catahoula. I gave him this dog 2 days ago. He is barley started and straight catch. Doesn't hunt good and sure ain't finding his own hogs. And has never seen any cows. I quit hunting with this guy cause he just uses people. Just a heads up

I have a 9 month old male catahoula bay dog. He's found one hog in a mock run. He will catch shoats up to 80 pounds. He won't go over 200 yards out. What's some ideas on how to get him to hunt further out and find hogs by himself

Plotts are the best all around hog dog. they are a cold nose dog and rough and bay tight when needed to
