I'm still looking for the right dog to get me started, I have a couple leases I have permission to hunt here in South,LA but they are not big. The largest being 3,000 acres with most of them about 1200. My bulldog is catching good but I need a SHORT range find dog and probably 2 RCD to keep the hogs from running. Just don't have enough property to chase them for two miles ya know.

Looking for a started short range dog, breed not  important but rather a bigger dog cause I only run two dogs at a time. Not looking for completely finished, but finding its own hogs would help. I hunt smaller tracts of land so I need a short range gritty dog, that can stop a hog and catch with catchdog. I'm in South Louisiana around Baton Rouge, willing to travel for a short range dog.
