I have never heard of a dog being even considered close to being finished at a year old I've seen some good started dogs at that age but they are still growing they may find pigs but they won't have the experience a real finished dog will and I don't consider many dogs finished

I have a Mountain cur that is not a good strike dog but if there is a bay then she will be there and the deal is sealed she is an Amazing bay pen dog she just wont range out more than 50 yards

have the bulldog held by a buddy or tied to something a few feet away and hold its back legs like when your legging it and and Let go and GET MOVING  behind that bulldog should work unless you got a sucky bulldog lol
