Off to a slow start this year as I figured but managed to put the breaks on a decent sow in the government woods a few weeks ago ended up catching her with one dog and a bulldog everything else was running hogs all over the place

Good boar hog caught early this year turned my 2 gyps out on his track right at daylight they ended up taking it backwards about 300 yards before lining it out went 600 the other way and sat him down where he was sleeping sent my buddy’s rough dog into them he gets there and my buddy’s eyes get real big he said something ain’t right his bark meters pegged out on the garmin I said sounds like he found one that’s gonna back him up so we got as close as we could on the wheelers walked into about 50 and sent the bulldogs and sealed the deal barred him and sent on his way

Your buddy didn't tell you the old dog would bring the hogs to you I guess. That's why he doesn't hunt out deep. These are WILD hogs and he doesn't want to have to drive themso far.

Wish it happened like that more often lol! I like letting my bulldog meet up with one like that

Pretty decent hog me and the ol lady caught a few weeks ago , I went and picked up an older dog from a buddy of mine he told me dog didint have a whole lot of hunt and he was slow but if he opened his mouth better get the bulldog ready. We dumped him and our young plow pup on an old logging road a few hours before dark and started walking them and weren’t getting much more than 100 yards out of them , so we made a wide loop and head back in the general direction of the truck and stop to see what they will do. Plow comes flying by nose down and he’s gone out to about 500 and this new dog did the same but stopped at 150 on the other side of us soon as we went to start walking he let out one heck of a locater bark then went to chopping 3-4 barks and stop 3-4 barks stop I look at the system and he’s 80 yards and closing look up and the hogs right on top of us just walking so I unsnap kilo and he heads to him hog breaks about 50 yards and kilo puts the whoa on him. About the time we tie him plow shows back up from what he was doing we tie all the dogs back take a few pictures and send the hog on his way.

How's it going man!  Yea guess I have slowed down a hair but will probably always have a few Yeller dogs to cuss at. Lol
Been good ,have had a good year so far if I can keep mine from getting cut and keep them hunting , and same here times might get slow but there will always be a dog or 2 around

Made a round 2 days ago and this morning ended up with 4 in total getting a good start to the year nothing fancy but these dogs are starting off right for sure.
Went in my buddy’s lease dumped dogs in the rain the got a group of sows and pigs on their feet and ran them for a few hours while we sat around watching them on the garmin. Got bored and started walking in there direction a little looked up and noticed them coming straight for us so we just stopped and waited my sissy gyp and ol hound ran the pigs right to us and we caught and tied 2 of them about 10 yards apart. Tied everything up except my buddy’s male dog because he done picked up a track and left we drove around and picked him up a few miles later and went to the house as the rain was picking up more.

Got a call from my buddy last night saying he wanted to make a round this morning we got a late start again. Pulled into the lease about 11:30 with a slight rain and found a good track from early this morning dumped my hound dog , jonesy dog, and a pup out they all 3 left out to about 500 and split wasn’t long they was set down so we headed to them. Hound had a little sow on the edge of a slough solo walked in to about 30 and let kilo give her a headache, got her tied and walked over the 75 yards to jonesy and the pup they had a little bigger sow bayed let kilo go and rang her ears again. All in all a dang good day 2 hogs tied and headed to the house in about an hour.
