I do not recommend buyin any dogs from skunkhounds on here traded him a 2000 dollar ar and a alpha for a pair of dogs drove to Teague  tx to get them. Carried em huntin last night cause I had a bad feeling in my gut. Low and behold they wouldn't leave the ranger. He offered two week trial I hunted the dogs once and they ain't for me. So and text him needless to say he ain't wanting to honor the trial. First he said he was at work and then next he said he lives in corpus and was only visiting in Teague. Just watch who you buy things from

I use the slag bull dog to refer to a catch dog. Every blue shirt squats dog now a days people call a pit bull it's like pulling teeth to get people to understand the  true pit bull have lingers legs deeper chest and longer mouth and are rarely over 60 pounds. Mine are the same never consistent. But I've gotten by with them. I just seen a dog for sell the guy called long range and said he only hunts about 100 yards in no sign and he wanted 1200 for him

Just curious what the guys on here consider long range dogs? The internet dawgers on Facebook believe long range is a dog that will role out in sign? And that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

My opinion of long range would be a dog that hunt 700+ yards in no sign. Just curious as to yalls opinion on the matter

I know of several people who hunt bird/bull crosses. They're running catch dogs with good noses. People that don't cull are the people who have no business breeding. If you want to try a cross by all means try it keep a couple for yourself give one or two to good buddies to raise hunt them and see if they turn out. Bloodlines mean a lot I've been huntin with Corbell and his bubbies a few times now and their breedings work And those guys know what they're doing. But if someone wants to try I cross hell try it but cull for undesirable traits. Make your breedings and cull what doesn't work. I lot of folks don't do this they will sell some bs to someone and then it gets sold over and over that's the problem. You wanna start out with good dogs get in good with some old timers that have raised them for years to hunt or work Cattle. Get a pair and raise them and hunt them. IN MY OPINION that's where you get your better bred dogs. You can breed the two best dogs in the world and the whole litter ain't always gonna make it there's is culls in every blood line. I don't mind any body breeding just do it right

Now I ain't ever caught tons of hogs or had the best dogs but they got me by. The way we started huntin we walked hunted big tracks a government land and the hogs were gonna run. I preferred mine to back up and bay just because they were liable to be 2 miles from me when they got it stopped and it might take me a while to get there. My male dog would catch but he was dumb about it

I'm with Corbell. Whether 3 dogs string one out or one loose dog backs up and bays the hog is stopped. Different terrain calls for different type dogs

Only hog I had intentions of mounting after we loaded him I had to haul ass to the vet and never seen him again didn't have time to argue over the hog. But my doc dog found and bayed him my gyp and my buddies dog went two him and mine and my buddies catch dogs caught him. The boy the carried us to the place dogs never left. But they took the hog cause I had to go and I never seen him again

If you sent him to a small rally and that was the first time he didn't do his job, maybe he did do his job but the other hogs whooped him down before you got there. Just I thought. Is the dog eating? Jaw not broken or anything like that?
