Really a sad situation. He was on a 15 " cable, I drove in from the rig about 10 after my wife called and told me. The lead was wrapped around the tree. The lowest limb is a fork in the tree about 6" off ground. Some how he got over the fork and was hanging there, when she called and found him he was dead under swing about ten ft away. The collar still remains in tree. The tree comes down today. Now I personally dont see how flat footed with no lead to spare he jumped straight up. Now cowboys head was swollen and eyes swoll shut the next day. He is the only serious yard gaurd dog I have. No bite marks on either dog so Im ruling out dog fight but not foul play by neighbors, ther eyoung dope heads Ive had probs with. God forbid I find any different. But never the less Im deeply saddened, would have rather been by a hog.
