I agree with mike, if the dogs catch one most of the time the other hogs will break, then when you catch the hog the dogs SHOULD roll out and find another one from the rally. But if you have a group of big barrs then if they try to catch the others will gang up and start cuttin em down.

One day we had about 5-6 good size sows and about 4-5 shoats bayed in a old clearcut, it had logs and tops layin everywhere, and tall grass. So we got up on a big stump about 20 yards from them waiting on one to break or them to catch one. Then a big boar came in he was about 325, he came in and got in front of the sows and wouldnt let the dogs get close to them. this goes on for about 20 minutes and finally the boar brakes and the dogs go after him and they try and catch him. He WRECKED everything we had. I thought that was neat how that boar came in to protect those sows.
