Yeah I often wondered the same thing...how many years/generations do you have to breed the dogs before you can name them??
And if you really think about it, there is no such thing as a "pure" breed of anything. All are crosses of something at one time or another.
It just depends on your definition of "pure".
I know for a fact that my Fla curs have bird dog, cur, possibly some ridgeback (you reading Warheid?), maybe some hound and who knows what else in them......Its just easier to call them Fla cur dogs...........
