My JJ female broke her jaw about 18 months ago, trying to catch a hog with no ears. I have never had a dog break their jaw before, thought it was a freak thing. Since then I have heard of several dogs breaking their jaws while hog hunting.
I have never used a muzzle, I don't know if I would. I just think the dog may run in to catch and not be able to. At that point he is close enough to be wrecked....
Let us know if it works out.
