IMO, the breed does not make a dog, I have picked up skinny strayes on the side of the road when I first started and had some good SOB's. I even had a great dane looking dog that would catch hogs and coyotes. IMO it is the training and the amount of hunting you do to make a dog. If it's got any hunt in it then it will make a dog, if not then that is a dog that I despise.  Grin
