Bump, the purpose of the interview was to talk about the solutions to feral hog problems in and around urban areas, the damage they do, and the most effective method used in controling them....DOGS! I'm the point of contact for a multi-county multi-city contract for a feral hog removal program I've developed in conjunction with county officals, city officals, law enforement and private landowners to address the issues many residents are having. So far its been a huge success and everyone is very happy. This interview was the direct result of a request by one of the partnering city's Mayors so it should have some legs as far as airing. It has taken a lot of meetings, a lot of presentations, a lot of time off from work and a whole lot of educating but it has be competely worth it....at this point I can say with 100% confidence that everyone on all levels is completely in support of our dog hunting efforts. As dog hunters, we don't have hide what we do if we do it the right way.
They asked to hunt with us but I declined on the request because I don't think the general public is ready to see everything on the 5 pm news. All they need to know is that we are out there and we are trying our best to help. Plus, I explained how physically grueling (w/ a slight exaggeration)a hunt can be and that kind of convinced them that they probably weren't ready for that anyway. Smiley
That's what I am talking about!!!!
