son call me and let me teach u how to hunt ur dog dont need too go half  a mile too catch a pig just catch a track and let the dog work for u all this bs my dog is long range is pure bs youngsters.  I catch more within 100 yards than u do with in a mile

In hog infested country that may work well, but most of us don't have that luxury and need dogs to range out and hopefully find one.
