if you can find it and put your finger on it what the best cur hogdog is then plz tell me your secret...in the mean time hunt with several different breeds and get your own opinion...but remember to each his own and to stay open minded...theres gna be the good the bad and the ugly in every breed out there...if it can bring home the bacon by itself on a consistent basis then that is what i consider a HOGDOG...jmo of course
