Tnhillbilly, was the redtick that you bred an outstanding hog dog? And the EP a hunting dog as well? I do believe that prey drive has been bred out of many dogs, so it is important to breed two outstanding hunting dogs to increase the chances that the offspring will inherit the parents prey drive. But it is still pretty much a crap shoot.
The red tick was a good hog and bear dog, above average, the EP however was nothing more than a yard dog that was supposed to be top of the line blood lines out of miss. but you know how that goes
