Well I use cur dogs!!My dogs should work like a gate when driveing cattle!! I do the pushing they do the finding and bunching!!When bunched I get behind ..they get ahead only.. then they give slack when needed and tighten when needed (open and close the gate)!! They make a breaker beg for the heard!! If one decides it wants to get real ruff then game on!! I do not own a shock collar and do use a whip but most of the time to get there attention very seldom do I have to whip one!! I use them alot and they learn the comands that I ask!! Raiseing them in the yard will teach a pup more handle than any shock collar or whip!!
