I would never shock a dog when they are running a track, that would be giving negative reinforcement for something you are doing.
There isn't much you can do for the yipping on track, some of them figure it out and quit on there own but that is about it.

I had a dog that would do the same and as soon as he barks on track I shock him on 3. Dogs aren't stupid, they not what there supposed to be after and they know the difference between running a hog and running a deer. I would't recommend it on a pup but on a dog that consistently find pigs it will work.


Trashin is a differnt story, im talking about running a hog.
And he's talking about his pup, not a finished hog dog.
