If at all possible hunt behind any dogs [or parents of pups] that you buy. If it is not possible any good hog dogger selling pups will have pictures or video of the dogs on hunts. Also try to find someone to tag along on hog hunts with this will help you be sure you have everything you need. And the last bit of advice I would have to say is... keep a open mind and dont let people change your mind if you find something works for you. You will read alot about how some hunt with Xnumber of dogs and others with Ynumber of dogs or some will swear by certain types [bay dogs. running catch dogs. catch dogs.] and the way they hunt them. Do what works with the size of land, terrain, amount of hogs in your woods, and how many dogs you plan to feed. Welcome.
